Oh my god. I made some beer bread the other day and it was glorious. What You Need: *3 cups of flour, sifted *1 tablespoon baking powder *1 teaspoon salt *1/4 cup sugar *12 oz beer *1/2 cup of butter, melted (a whole stick. Yum!) What you gotta do: *Mix all the dry ingredients together. *Add your beer. *Mix. *Place in a greased loaf pan and pour the butter over the top. *Bake at 375 for an hour. This creates a VERY crunchy and buttery crust. If you prefer a more 'normal' crust, then mix the butter into the dough along with the beer. =)
I make a for you the Chicken Meatball and Tortellini Soup of my people... Go find all this: * 3 chicken breast halves * 1 tbsp. ea. oregano and parsley * 1 tsp. ground sage * 3 cloves garlic, minced plus 1 clove whole. * 1/2 onion diced plus 1/2 onion rough chopped. * 1/4 C. Parmesan cheese * 15 saltine crackers, crushed * 6 C. chicken Stock * 2 C. Frozen cheese-filled tortellini * Kosher salt * Pepper * 1 large carrot, diced * Olive oil Then do this: To make the meatballs, cut the chicken into cubes and process in a food processor with 1 whole clove garlic and 1/2 rough-chopped onion. Process until well combined, but not quite puréed. Place chicken mixture into a large bowl and stir in the crushed saltines, oregano, parsley, sage and Parmesan cheese until well combined. Form into small meatballs and fry in the olive oil until well-browned and cooked through. (Let them get on the dark side of browned, then when you simmer them in the soup later the brown crust on the meatballs will color and flavor the broth. In the meantime, sauté the carrot, onion, and garlic, and a pinch of salt until somewhat tender. Add the chicken stock and bring to a boil. Add the tortellini and meatballs and cook until the pasta floats. When serving top with a bit of Parmesan cheese you mouth will a thank you so much!
Oh man. That sounds really tasty. I'll have to make it sometime ^_^ I like that the meatballs are made with chicken.

GASP! How did you know the secret recipe I've been using all these years!? There is only one difference. Spoiler: I don't use a pop up toaster I use a sandwich toaster. So I butter the bread. Then I put it in the toaster without letting the lid touch the bread but getting it as close as possible. Leave until slightly toasted and enjoy the butter soaked crispy bread! For tastier results add jam.
