Lubek noticed Kim walk through the door, while the Templar CEO was watching news reports about the crisis in the Middle-East. At this moment, the E.U was backing up support for Israel while the Arabic World was doing everything they could to completely dismantle it brick by brick. So far, this 'war' already claimed several million lives. Lubek had a small grin on his face as she walked in. "Excellent to see you again" Lubek responded. "Do you know why I've sent you to kill the French President?"
The screens on the buildings of Paris had violently distorted, loud, electronic sounds emanating from them. Suddenly, the dark figure, his face but a ghostly white mask against a dark abyss. The screens were still distorting, and the dark, eerie voice of the man onscreen sounding aloud, speaking in French, with soft, yet horrifyingly distorted music in the background: Mozart's requiem. "As we grow, we find that everything in the world is so large compared to us. We find ourselves, mere shadows cast by the dim light called life, and as the light goes out, we fade into nothingness. Yet during the time that the light still works, there are people who proclaim that they hold a light, and yet they hold these words under false pretenses. There is no one that holds so bright a candle, and all that they know is the same dim light you and I know. But WE are not resisting the dark. We have grown to it, used it. We are shadows within the dark, thriving upon the sustenance known as Enlightenment. Soon, very soon, you shall see the power we hold, as you have merely witnessed but small, insignificant events. But if you still cower within the artificial light of your upholders, of your governments, then allow me to show you a sliver of light..." Suddenly, a rumble vibrated underneath the city, and a smoke started to float above the Notre Dame de Paris. The huge church had been blown, and numerous plain white masks, scattered throughout the city, had looked up, and stretched their right hands upwards, towards the sky, seemingly in salute.....
Lubek relaxed slightly into his chair. "I've been making a series of predictions, and the results that I have been finding are...well, horrifying to say at the least. With the nuclear attack on Mecca, Europe has united together to protect Israel and fight against a United Middle-East, with already plenty of casualties on both sides. I've calculated that within the next few days, this war has a 33.73% chance of going Nuclear. " Lubek responded before taking a sip of coffee. "I want to ensure that this will happen. I sent you to assassinate the French President so that you could eliminate their own political influence, was already substantially weak. With the French President's death, infighting is likely to occur between all sides and unless the war goes nuclear, Europe will enter a period of Civil-War that will surpass the brutality and Bloodshed of the Great War." Lubek then noticed the tv on the wall to his right, seeing the Notre Dame exploding in Paris and smiled. "It's already happening...but." Lubek's emotions suddenly drained. "It seems we have intruders, Boreas is dead."
"I'll handle that and what's to say that the nations under the UN flag wont stick to their nuclear weapon in war ban and anyway I did not sign up for nuclear holocaust. If thats what your planning count your deadliest best trained assassin in your entire company out." She said with a sense of anger in her voice.
The tall man suddenly appeared, once again in his hood and helmet. He towered over the girl, but seemed to look at Lubek. Suddenly, the females voice was sounded, but it was electronically distorted, saying "...your deadliest, best trained assassin..." He tilted his head, now looking down towards the girl.....
"An assassin does there job quietly and effeciently with only the designated target killed with little mess. You from my knowledge do not do that so you are more of this corporations soldier or murderer so to speak. So yes I am this companies best assassin." She said in a serious and defensive tone.
Suddenly, the man showed a montage of all his kills via holographic screen, from incredibly long-ranged sniper kills, to scenes that seemed like they came out of the most grotesque, gory, sadistic horror movie, mostly short moments, but an incredible amount of them.....
"I'm only destroying their governments, not the other way around. Nuclear use during this so called 'World War III' would be minimal and once Archimedes is in orbit, it won't matter. Archimedes can completely disarm or detonate all nuclear weapons in flight or inside their own silo. It could also launch an entire stockpile if it also wished. I could launch the entire global stockpile if I wanted to, and then disarm them within a minute to kill two birds with one stone, remove the threat of nuclear weapons completely while also performing what the UN has been trying to do for decades within a minute." Lubek replied. "I'm not the Angel of Death that Humanity needs. I'm just removing the weakness that has plagued humanity for centuries, and besides, Templar can't stop biological attacks that is surely going to occur if Europe enters a full-blown Civil War."
After a bit of trekking, Minerva could see the walls of the compound across a stretch of clear, flat land. "Oh. This isn't going to be easy." She turned back to her compatriots. "Well, we're at the final stretch of the base. All that stand between us this more-than-likely mined stretch that's totally exposed to emplacements and snipers, a fence, and probably a wall made of the hardest metals on Earth. Any ideas?"
Blackbird looked across the field as a black visor suddenly appeared across his face and just stood there for a moment before he looked at the rest of the group. "The path to the base is definitely mined, about 400 of them actually between here and the compound. I count seven snipers within our field of vision alone, but they cannot detect us yet. The wall is constructed with titanium and concrete, but a HF blade should cut through the wall with relative ease." Blackbird said before placing his hand onto the ground as an electrical surge spread amongst the field before he rose up again. "No more mines...." The cyborg said in his deep, robotic sounding, voice. It was unsure that even if he was joking, the permanent sound of his voice always made him sound serious. It wasn't his fault however.
Minerva was already invisible and hurrying across the stretch before cutting a hole through the fence with her HF sword. She dove through and reached the inner wall, stabbing her blade into and beginning to cut a an access big enough to squeeze through.
"Okay then I guess staying low is the best option." Maria's ski things broke into four pieces and attached to the back of his legs. Staying prone to the ground until she reached Minerva and moved to a crouched position. Her pistol was out and ready.
Inside, Adrian was slightly conflicted. It was not long ago he was diagnosed with a rare type of Multiple Personality Disorder where the conflicting personalities were so intertwined yet different. His body had to inevitably choose between the two. Should he continue to be the lethal assassin he was currently donning the hood of, to continue to kill with the use of weapons? Or would he become one of the greatest terrorist-classified masterminds of today. The greatest difference, and yet, at the same time, similarity, would be the lust for death and fear. It was all a kind of game to him, regardless wearing one mask or another, but the methods and style were rather uncomfortable for each personality. But no matter what, Adrian would never stop being so deadly. So far, Adrian had not told even Lubek, but the tall man had a feeling his friend may already know. He was no fool, and neither was Lubek... _________________________________________________________ The tall man looked at his old friend, suddenly showing the POV camera registering from Blackbird. Silently, only with a stare from his eerie, red, glowing "eyes", he asked Lubek whether he should go to reinforce. Everyone had their weaknesses, even one like Blackbird, and Adrian could very well administer a massive death-toll when paired with Blackbird, as they proved plenty times before.....
Lubek turned to see Adrian and nodded. "They are close to our facility, I think it's time you give our guests a proper welcoming party." ---------------------------------- Blackbird was not always what he used to be. Five years ago, he was a high-ranking agent for Templar. The man once named Maximillian Roback was human at that point, his body in it's natural state. He had undergone biological augmentation to vastly increase his abilities and was often paired with the man who became Blackout. Unfortunately, while on leave with his family, Templar decided that he was no-longer useful and shot down his private jet, killing everyone except him. Although he survived, Maximillian lost all of his limbs and half of his torso and would have died were it not for sudden Templar intervention to turn him into a weapon. Having his head and half of his neck removed, he was placed onto a full cybernetic body and undergone extreme cybernetic augmentation to turn him into who he was now. Blackbird leapt over the fence like it was nothing. Templar had killed his family without reason and tried to kill him. So he decided to do the only thing he found necessary. Destroy the Templar and the monster it has become.
Maria climbed through the whole made by Minerva and stood next too Blackbird with her pistol ready. HoweverKim was silently watching and waiting to confront them. Spying on them from a blindspot with her hand on her sword ready.
Adrian was nearly two miles away from his target, doping his scope and watching their every move. He was cloaked in white and grey, blending in with the snow. The long rifle similarly hidden, and he was only a ghost, unseen in the white upon the mountain he found himself on. He calculated the wind and the drop, and took aim at one of the females.
Minerva, who was still invisible, slipped in after Maria. As she reached the other side, she careful drew out her KAP 40 and took to the nearest corner, looking over the high tech compound from there before turning her attention to the other, waiting for them to make their move.
Simon was covering their backside. When the coast was clear, he dashed through the minefield, accessing the location of the mines with his thermal sensors. He got past the field, and slipped through the hole in the fence. He then crawled through the hole in the wall made by Minerva. "Simon Pent; Ex-Templar Engineer at your service." He examined the three. Blackbird. He recognized that one. He had done maintenance on his cyborg parts once or twice. 2 Female Agents. One was cloaked. His computer told him the cloaked one was Minerva; the other Maria.
Maximilian remained dead quiet while Simon introduced himself, his blade still in hand in case anything happened. As much of the prospect remained in his mind about seeking revenge onto all of those that had turned him into a monster, Simon was the only one who seemed to at least be sympathetic to him. "Simon..." Blackbird replied to remove the silence, his deep robotic voice sounding croaky.
