As they ran, they could hear the Wraiths and Banshees catching up swiftly. The Spartan scanned the area ahead, finding a building that had not been completely melted. He grabbed the Officer and threw him in there, hiding beneath what looked like part of a Scorpion Tank.
Saber nodded. "Yes, there are varios good places to eat around the citadel, but first lets go to the human embasy, I want to know what the hell is going on." He said as they walked.
"Well i may just be a Spatan but i think we passed through a wormhole that brought us and a Rouge Covenant Fleet here." Marcus said
The Wraiths passed slowly, dozens of Banshees passing by in the sky above. Revenants zipped by the hidden Spartan and Turian, being half of the size of a Wraith, they they were much faster but had less defense. Senghelli Elites and Grunts passed by, as well as Jiralhane, searching for survivors. As they traveled, they all pass by after thirty minutes approximately. The Spartan sighed in relief, he could take them out, but would only attract more attention.
Saber and his new 'companions' walked around and got into the elevator that took them to the human embassy. If they were truly from earth, the human ambassador could tell him if they really were and what is going on. After hearing Marcus's comment Saber replied. "It looks like it, but I want to know more about all this." he said. there were still a lt of things he wanted to understand. After a while, the Sunrider left the Citadel and went into the Mass Relay and went back to Palaven. Once in there, Cid used the scanners to look for the survivors that contacted them. Once they found them, they went into stealth mode and got close to the planet to get them out of there.
A Senghelli stood at watch, no, two of them. The Spartan gave a hand signal to the Turian, who curiously watched the alien militants pass by. He nodded, sneaking behind one of the creatures, and so did the Spartan. As they got close, the Turian pulled out a combat knife and stabbed the first Senghelli in the back of the neck, the Spartan reaching and snapping the neck of the other. Although he still had his pistol and sniper rifle, he always had a fascination with Covenant weapons. The Turian picked up the odd Plasma Rifle, looking it over. "What is this?" "Plasma Rifle, careful with those things though, you could kill a soldier with one shot with light to media armor." The Spartan said coldly. On his scanners he picked up a large blue blip the second it had hit the atmosphere, that was their ride. He shot a plasma round into the air, giving the signal where they were for their ally, and for the Covenant troops in the area.
The ship landed and the garage door oppened for them. Soldiers came down to cover them. "Hurry up!" One of them yelled. They soon arrived to the embassy.
As they climbed aboard, several Phantoms and Seraphs and Banshees were inbound to intercept the position. The Officer got on first, carrying the Plasma rifle with him. The Spartan threw a dead Elite on board the ship, climbing aboard as well. The Turian looked to one of the troops, "We didn't think anyone would come for us." The Captain had stayed silent for some time, not uttering a word. He wanted to wait till he had the chance to speak with whoever is in charge here, and he will get that chance soon enough.
"Don't worry. " the soldier replied. Once they all were inside, they left. The ship was faster than the banshies and Seraphs and soon left them behind. They went to the mass rellay and left to the Citadel. Saber was not sure what was that of UNSC. "No, we had received no word from there. I fear that we lost the planet." Saber said a bit sad and angry.
"For the UNSC? No, that would not work," The Captain replied, "We have already tried it, none of our radios hold any form of signal to UNSC. The engineers at the moment will be repairing the Slip Space Drives and Communications. As for the ONI Officers and Scientists on the Black Monarch they are trying to find out what exactly happened. Like before what was said, there was a malfunction with the Slip Space Drives, but that is undergoing investigation." He said in a neutral tone, still having his helmet on.
Saber heard what they were talking about. Their technology was completely different from the one they have. Thats why he wanted to talk to the ambassador. He lead them to the ambassador office. After a few minutes, the Sunrider arrived to the Citadel with the ones they saved.
"The Citadel, I've heard rumors of its glory, but to actually see it up close..." The Turian Officer clearly have not seen anything such as this, he marveled at the site of it. Getting worried, the Spartan began to think at first that this was a Halo Ring. Ever since the Flood Attacks on earth, he had been scarred for life, knowing what horrors lied within those damned rings. He was tough, but the Flood made his heart race, he had a serious hatred and terror against them. But as they got closer, he could see that it was no Halo Ring, but rather some form of a flower. He was slightly relieved.
A soldier turned to the turian officer. "Never been to the Citadel?" He asked him chuckling a little.
(Crap, sorry fellas, didn't realize that LunarShield did not take his turn. Well, now lets move on) "Yes, I haven't thad the time to go to it myself due to Cerberus attacks (Yes, they are back XP). Plus the fact I had a family that was sent to the Citadel, I am also sure this one has not gone to it either," He said gesturing to the Spartan. He sat in complete silence, keeping to himself most of the time, the Turian continued to speak, "If it were not for him, I would have died out there."
