Arcana brushes her wet mane out of her face and gets out of the fountain. "Celestia is that cold," she said shaking off some water. Her horn glowed as she dried herself off.
Arcana shivers a little bit, but smiles back. "Anything you have in mind?" she asked with a wide smile.
"Mayyybe." Taffy said, leaning close. "As your repair pony, I advise we get back to your hotel room first though."
Arcana smiles as she walks a bit faster to the hotel. While levitating the crate of cider onto the back of Taffy. Looking around she said, "thanks for the quick thinking." "If you don't mind me asking, what does it look like when I transform?" she asked, curiously.
"Well, 'fore it happens, your horn starts glowin' all dark like, but I think you already know that. As t' what ya look like when you're actually changin'? Ah'm not sure; I was too busy makin' sure nopony else saw." She looked Arcana up and down and grinned, "Ah prefer lookin' at ya after you've transformed anyway."
Arcana blushed as she continued walking to the hotel. Wondering about Taffy's statement, "What about when I'm a guy?" She asked aloud. Seeing the hotel, she opened the door and said, "ladies first."
Taffy smiled at Arcana's last comment "What's that, force of habit?" Entering the hotel, she considered his question. "Well, ma barn door swings both ways, if ya know what I mean; in small towns it kinda has to, few enough folk that ain't kin as it is." She pondered a little, "Ah guess ah've always been more partial t' mares though." She admitted.
"I wonder how your father feels about that," Arcana said in a off-handed way as she enters the hotel. Seeing the elevator working, she presses the call button and it opens immediately. As she gets in the elevator, she wonders if she's really that pretty towards other ponies. "For me, I guess it's only been mares I like," she mentioned to Taffy.
Taffy shrugged. "Dad's fine with it, he knows how it is. Not that we have deep discussions 'bout it or nothin'." She added, blushing. "An' you, ma friend, are just a straight laced city boy. Er, Girl. That's like only liking one flavour of ice cream." She said, jokingly.
The elevator comes to stop and gets to Arcana's floor. She walks out and opens her door. "Well, I've had my curiosities here and there since I got this. Especially with my sisters saying I'd have to been stallions off with a stick," she admitted. "But, I've only found myself liking fillies and mares." She sits on her bed, taking the bed closer to the window.
"That caused you any problems, what with your... condition?" Taffy asked, following Arcana into the room. Wanting to be close to Arcana, but reluctant to be near the window, she sits on the sofa.
Arcana thought a bit and walked over to Taffy, not feeling tired. She grabbed a bottle of cider. "A couple times," she said. "The problems mostly came from the city boy stallions. My sisters ended up being right," She added.
Arcana opened the bottle of cider and drank some of it. "Other than being stared at uncomfortably and lots of rumors at school, nothing really," she said with her head up thinking. "Though there is this one time I was in the fillies locker room. That was one of the most interesting school times."
"Now that sounds like a story I'd like to hear." Taffy said, grinning lazily. "Why don't you come over here where I can hear it better?" She suggested, patting the sofa next to her. "Might warm you up some too."
Arcana sat next to Taffy and took another swig of her cider. "I was still in Magic School and I was transforming. I ducked into the nearest empty building not realizing where I was." She started to explain. When I finished transforming into a filly, at the time, I opened the doors and saw a bunch of fillies swarming in the room I couldn't get out and some of them showered, told stories, asked if I was new and I couldn't speak, too embarrassed." Arcana took another swig. "I happened to be right next to one who liked a friend of mine. And I couldn't help commenting," she said.
Arcana blushed, "Both," she said and took an other swig before she continued. "I said that he would like her because she's nice and beautiful. But I also said he'd never take the initiative because he's shy. I might have complimented her in a flirty way and she looked at me and smiled," she said. "I remember her brushing my mane out of my face and coming close to whisper, 'maybe he likes colts if he didn't go after you.' I wonder why she said that, but the way she smiled gave me a couple clues."
