"Just, uh corn flanks. Flakes! Corn flakes! Breakfast!" Taffy grinned nervously and nodded vigorously. "Yep. Definitely breakfast."
"Yep!" Taffy said, still nodding. She was fairly sure she'd gotten away with it. "So, Where'd you wanna go fer breakfast?" She asked, expertly steering the conversation in another direction. She could have been a spy, she thought to herself.
Arcana had an inkling of an idea of what Taffy was thinking, but decided not to press the matter. She opened the door and called for the elevator. "I'm thinking crepes, ever had them?" she asked.
Arcana thought for a moment before answering, "Very thin pancakes often stuffed with fruit, whipped cream and other stuff you can want. Crepes can be eaten for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert. Depending on what they're stuffed with," she said. The elevator opens with some ponies inside, but there is room. She walks inside the elevator.
The elevator stopped on the first floor and Arcana exited the elevator and headed straight to the front desk. She made a simple transaction and asked for directions. She smiled at Taffy and said, "I know where to get crapes now."
"Well lead on!" Taffy said, then blushed as her tummy growled audibly. "Er, I hope it isn't too far?"
Arcana smiled at Taffy. "Don't worry, it's just a couple blocks," she said as she opened the door for her.
Taffy walked out into the street, and looked up at the sky; it was a fine day, but there were some threatening looking clouds on the horizon. She frowned a little. "It's not scheduled to rain today, is it?" She asked, looking at Arcana.
"I don't know," Arcana said as she looked at the sky. "I think it would be prudent to ask a pegasus."
"Can you see any?" Taffy asked, scanning the streets for any feathered equines. The closest she saw was a fancy looking white Unicorn mare wearing a feather boa; she thought she looked familiar somehow, but shrugged it off.
Arcana looked toward the streets in the direction of the crepe shop and saw the clouds were thinner in that direction. "Let's head to the shop quickly, I'll be on the look out for pegasi."
Arcana walked down the street seeing the clouds thinning. She smiled and said, "I can understand that, I also find athletic earth ponies too. I consider myself athletic for a unicorn. But, many unicorns are content with using minor spells for everything."
"Must be nice," Taffy lamented, " Bein' able to use magic like that. Ah've lost count of the number of times ah'd have given ma left hoof for telekinesis."
Arcana laughed. "It has it's ups and downs like everything," she said seeing the crepe shop. She pressed the button to cross the street and waited for the signal. "Though most unicorns aren't powerful enough to lift a lot with magic. Mostly we just find what we're good at," she smiled at Taffy as the signal came on and she started walking to the other side.
