Arcana walked away from the bar happy that she's going to sing tonight. She walked up to the stage and started to set everything up for her music. She set the mic to work for her and starting singing. "Dancing to the feel of the drum, leave this world behind..." she starting singing slowly knowing the song will liven up to a dance number.
Her tankard empty, Taffy made her way over to the bar for a refill. "This one's covered by your friend's singing," The bar pony said when Taffy tried to pay. "Oh? Shiny!" She raised the tankard in thanks at Arcana, doing her thing up on the stage, and grinned. Free drinks and Arcana's singing? This night just kept getting better!
"Raise your hooves and your glasses too. We will dance the whole night through. We're going back to a time we knew. Under a violet moon." She finished her song, which she thought was the perfect opener."
Taffy made her way back to their table, and applauded Arcana's performance when she finished her first song. She may have been a little too enthusiastic; almost all of the ponies in the tavern gave some recognition to Arcana's performance, but this was no concert; most had come to have a good time with their friends. Taffy's cheers drew some funny looks, but she was having too much fun to give it much thought.
Arcana, remembering her bar performance protocol, silently thanked them and gave them a small bow. "Thank you, my next song is about a queen." The music began to play as she sang. "Over on the hill there grows a flower ..."
Taffy swayed and nodded along gently to the music, the ale beginning to make her feel pleasantly sleepy.
"Fading with the setting sun," Arcana sang as the music began to fade, until the dance tune hit and she started to dance to it. While her horn glowed brightly.
The change in tempo jolted Taffy a little, and she started to bob along to the music a little more enthusiastically.
As the music ended Arcana ended her dance in a bow. As the audience applauded she thought of her next song to play. "There's a place in my heart, the shadows call their home. Cold as the winds..." she sang out.
"Is this seat taken?" A voice asked. Taffy looked over to see a stunningly beautiful mare standing at her table. "I, uh..." Taffy gaped helplessly before regaining her composure and smiling apologetically. "Ah'm sorry; it is. Mah friend's up on stage." "Oh? No worries then." The mare said, smiling amiably before walking off. Taffy smiled and turned her attention back to Arcana.
"Ruuuuuuuuuuuuun. Hey!" Arcana finished her song. She looked towards the bartender and he signaled for one more song. "Thank you very much for listening to me," she said as the applause died down. "I have one more song tonight. I hope you enjoy it," she spoke before the music started. " I've been many places, I've traveled around the world ..." she sang out, pouring everything she had left into her final number.
The ponies in the bar had been growing progressively more appreciative of Arcana's music, and Taffy had been growing more appreciative of their free tab. By the end of her last song, everyone was having a good time.
"Oh it's good to be back home again," Arcana finished to the sound of roaring applause. She bowed and exited off the stage returning to her table. Seeing the happy look on Taffy's face, she gave Taffy and nice hug.
Arcana continued giggling before she took anther drink from her new glass of wine. "Not as pretty as you," she whispered to Taffy.
Arcana drinks more of her wine, "Well, this is going to be my final glass for the evening." She looks over to Taffy before casting a spell on the two of them. After the spell sets, she gently kisses Taffy on the cheek.
"Ah, lightweight," Taffy said, mockingly, before starting at the spell. "What wash that?!" She asked, just before being kissed. "Huwa?"
