Arcana answered, "Just autographs, I don't expect to get much, but we'll see. It's just an excuse to talk to the audience."
"Hmm," Taffy raised an eyebrow. "Ya don't have groupies, do ya?" She asked, in a mock accusatory tone.
"Number 23?" A voice called out. Taffy looked at their spoon and squee'd with joy, before picking it up with her mouth and waving it in the air. "O'oer ear!" She called to the waitress pony. She was very hungry. The waitress pony smiled at Taffy's enthusiam as she placed the tray on their table. "One tea, one coffee, one plate of waffles with maple syrup and strawberries, and one wide square waffle with strawberries and whipped cream. Was there anything else?"
Arcana cut into his waffle, constructing the perfect bite with the waffle, strawberry and whipped cream.
Taffy dived into her plate of waffles mouth first, she knew it was probably unseemly, but she was too hungry to care.
Arcana took that bite he constructed and savored the flavor of the waffle, perfect in every way. He swallowed and said, "Great cafe you chose, Taffy."
"Thank you!" Taffy said, looking up from her plate between mouthfuls. "Ah selected it very carefully, due to it's proximity to a nice lookin' fountain." She hadn't really realised how hungry she was until the'd ordered the waffles, but even scoffing them down like she was, she could tell they were top class. She took a sip of her tea; it was really good too.
"Ah wonder if there are any spots like this in Canterlot," Taffy said, thinking aloud. She liked this courtyard; it didn't seem as alien to her as the rest of the city, almost like it felt more... honest.
"More than likely," Arcana said after he sipped his coffee. "At least their should be based on the ponies from there I've met."
Taffy cocked her head. "You c'n tell whether or not there are nice courtyards there jus' by what the local ponies are like?"
Arcana thought about his answer for a second as he took another bite of his waffle. "Kind of," he said, "it's more like the way they act says they're from a nice place."
Taffy nodded. "Oh, Ah see. I thought you were using some of that freaky unicorn magic." She said, swirling her hooves around in the air at the last few words and grinning cheekily.
"So what are your plans for after your last show?" Taffy asked. "Am Ah in them?" She added, sheepishly.
"Well," Arcana started. "I was thinking of taking you out to dinner, if that's okay with you?" he asked with a smile.
"That's great, an' 'course Ah'd love to," Taffy said, reaching across the table and giving Arcana's hoof a squeeze, "but Ah meant longer term; do ya plan on stayin' in Manehatten after you're shows are done, or are ya gonna move on?"
