The audience showered Arcana with as much praise for this last song as they had for his others. Taffy joined them; she would be happy to listen to Arcana sing all night, if it didn't necessitate their being separated...
"I have one more song tonight. You guys have been a wonderful audience. My last song is Forever." The music starts and plays a guitar presenting a hopeful, but slightly haunting melody. But Arcana smiles and plans to put everything left into this song. "There's a pain within that I can't define. There's an empty space where our love used to shine."
Taffy thought this was sounding a little melancholic, but trusted by the melody and Arcana's smile that it would pick up.
Arcana soars into a higher register with his voice as he leads up to the bridge and chorus. "Will you there, waiting by the gates of dawn..."
Taffy and the rest of the audience continued to listen quietly, waiting to see where the song would take them.
