She teleported them both to the front of a red house. She opened the door and called out. "Hello?" There was a moment of silence, and then a high-pitched, young voice screamed out. "Sparrow!" A small filly came running down the hallway, and leapt at Sparrow, using her wings to propel her.
He smiled at the scene, feeling warm inside just watching. He waited to be acknowledged before he spoke, fidgeting with various parts of his left hoof.
"Man...I was trying really hard to no be scary, too." He sighed, his ears dropping. "Well, should I meet the rest, or..."
"Sure." said Sparrow, looking around. "Mila, where's Mom?" In response, she trotted off, expecting the two to follow.
He shrugged. "I think we should follow." He said, nudging Sparrow gently and beginning to follow Mila.
Steel leaned down and caught her on his back, smiling. "Sparrow, Mila is adorable!" He laughed, standing slowly and holding Mila in place with magic.
Steel looked around. "Your whole family is so welcoming and uplifting. Maybe It's that I have no idea who my father is and have a mother who rules Equestria and still tried so hard to raise my brother and I, but I feel like this is a safer place than my home."
"Wow. We haven't even said a word to you!" said the younger stallion. He shook Steel's hoof. "I'm Oliver, Sparrow's brother."
"I'm Steel. Very nice to meet you, Oliver. Your sister helped me capture Chrysalis...and she sort of took my heart in the process..." Steel replied with a slight blush, smiling at Sparrow and shaking Oliver's hoof in kind.
