"Yes, of course," Discord said, standing up and retrieving a hat from a stand that had just appeared by the door. "Lets get going." He opened the door for Chrysalis. "But for what it's worth, I think you're pretty much perfect just the way you are,"
Chrysalis blushes some and giggles. She was flattered to hear that. She gives Discord a kiss on the cheek and buzzes softly. She then heads out the door and wait outside for him.
Discord blushed a little at the kiss, before coughing and regaining his composure. "I'm still feeling a little weak," He admitted. "Do you think you could teleport us to Canterlot? Otherwise I suppose we could walk... Ooh, or fly!" He conjured up a hot air balloon delightedly.
"Teleporting would be the easiest." Chrysalis says with a smile. She readies her magic and in the blink of an eye, they were in Canterlot, right in front of the castle.
The royal guard they materialised next to jumped in surprise before lowering his spear and bellowing "Stop right there, criminal scum!" Luckily, his shouting alerted another guard, who came running over. "Blowy! We were told about this in the briefing this morning; if these two appear, they are to be escorted to see the Princess, unharmed! Were you even paying attention?" Blowy raised his spear again sheepishly. "I might have dozed off..." The second guard shook his head and sighed before turning to Chysalis and Discord. "Sorry about that; if you'll follow me, the Princesses have been expecting you." He lead them towards the castle door, and Blowy followed behind them, still watching them suspiciously.
Chrysalis looks to Discord and back to the guard. She shrugs and follows the guard that was leading them to the princess. It maybe luck but chances are, she wants them alive and well for a reason.
Discord smiled reassuringly at Chrysalis as they headed into the castle. "See? I told you it would be fine!" He just hoped he was right... As they walked through the castle, they saw ponies busy putting tapestries back up and replacing the stainglass windows. Discord supposed that was a good sign as they entered into the throne chamber once more. Celestia and Luna were both standing on the dais, waiting for them. "Discord and Chrysalis; we have been looking for you," Celestia announced, formally, but in a noticeably warmer tone than when last they met. "I have heard many tales over the last day, and you two seem to be at the centre of them all; they say I owe you a great debt of gratitude." She paused and looked them both over, Luna stood beside her, silent and unreadable. "I trust those who told these tales, but I also know you; you are tricksters both, and if I find you were in any way responsible for what happened, you shall incur my wrath, rather than my gratitude. Now, if you'd care to enlighten me, and if your story matches what I've already heard, then you will find I am a very reasonable mare." She looked at them expectantly.
Chrysalis then sighs and she was ready to do what she must. "How I remember it is that Discord came to my hive telling me of a spell Twilight cast that went wrong. While I at first was skeptical to why Discord would be sent to me for help, but I decided I would to for my hive. Along the way as I and Discord freed the ponies of this mind control curse, I felt a different. I was not expecting to enjoy helping other ponies but it was gradual. My only regret was walking out after freeing Princess Cadence's Crystal Kingdom. I guess I wasn't willing to face her scorn for my presence there, but part of me wanted to make amends. I just couldn't bring up the courage. But facing you... it felt like I was fighting a god. If it wasn't for Twilight's help... and Discord's too... I would of never freed you with my crystal." She said showing the crystal. "Also Discord helped with distractions while I used it. It is specially made for situations like this where mass magic is casted." Chrysalis says explaining how she helped free everypony.
Celestia nodded. "Do you have anything to add, Discord?" He shook his head. "Couldn't have said it better myself." Celestia considered for a moment, before whispering with Luna. "It would seem then that we owe you thanks," She said, finally turning back to the two of them, "I have to say, I am pleasantly surprised; I never thought you would come to Equestria's aid, Chrysalis, and after the incident with Tirek, I had doubts about you too, Discord. I am glad to see I was mistaken."
Chrysalis lowered her head. "Honestly, it kinda started with it being in my own interests only. I was merely humoring Discord. But I ended enjoying it. It felt good freeing everypony." Chrysalis admitted. She sighs and wonders how this will change things. She isn't sure how her standing will be after this.
Luna stepped forward. "We are glad to hear that. It is hard to step away from the path of darkness, but all deserve a chance at redemption; I would say you have gone a long way to earning yours. Both of you." Celestia nodded. "Indeed. Discord will always require... observation, I feel; Chaos is in his nature. But I believe this may be an opportunity to build bonds between our people Chrysalis, if your remorse is genuine. It is my duty to avoid a repeat of Cadence's wedding, but I would prefer to do so by naming you my ally, rather than destroying you as my enemy." Discord was a little annoyed by Celestia's comment about him, but he knew this was a vital moment for Chrysalis, so he held his tongue.
Chrysalis blushes a little and she felt happy. Maybe a little flustered too. This was welcomed gesture and she nods. "I would like that." Chrysalis says with a soft smile.
"Excellent," Celestia walked down off the dais towards them. "Let this be the beginning of a peaceful and prosperous age for us both then, Chry- Queen Chrysalis." She stopped in front of Chrysalis and offered her hoof.
Chrysalis paused for a moment, but with a smile, she took Celestia's hoof as a sign of peace between her and Celestia. She was actually happy that this could be resolved without much indecent.
Celestia shook Chrysalis' hoof and smiled herself. "If you'd like, we can sign an official treaty later, and we'll have to discuss the intricacies of how ponies and changelings can coexist, but that can wait; for now I feel in desperate need of a holiday. A very spontaneous and disorganized holiday. As recompense for setting this whole situation in motion, Princess Twilight will be taking my place during my absence; I have every confidence that she and her friends can handle the responsibility, but please don't give her anything else to worry about," She looked at Discord. "Either of you." Discord strained to hold back a sarcastic and unpleasant rebuttal, and forced a thin smile; things had gone too well for him to screw it up now. Celestia chuckled and turned away. "He must like you Chrysalis; I've not known many things put Discord on his best behaviour!"
Chrysalis nods and smiles. "I understand." She says with a smile and giggles a little. She was will not say it persay, but she knows Discord isn't liking all the baggage put on him over him being a Spirit of Chaos~ Chrysalis would laugh more she didn't feel bad for him. She decides to give Discord a hug and buzzes softly.
Discord blinked in surprise and blushed; he hadn't been expecting such a display of affection in front of Celestia, but he hugged back anyway. He liked the way she buzzed, it was one of the cute little traits he assumed came from being a changeling, and one of the things that made him love he- Wait, what?! He rewound that last part in his head; love? What did he even know about love?! He desperately tried to compare his feelings towards Chrysalis to those he had for Fluttershy; they were definitely different; he cared deeply for Fluttershy, but somehow his feelings for the changeling queen were somehow more intense, he felt light-headed, giddy and sick all at once, and had a sudden overwhelming urge to kiss Chrysalis. This was too much! ~~~~~ Celestia smiled with amusement to see the pair hug; the one-time threats to all Equestria didn't look so sinister now! As she was watching however, she noticed something strange happen to Discord's face; his expression changed from one of happiness and embarrassment to one of confusion and possibly even fear; his face froze and and his eyelid twitched. After a further moment, he spoke; "UhIgottagonowmykumquatplantneedswateringthankseverybodybye!" His words tumbled out like a buffalo stampede, and with a flash, he disappeared...
