Unlike Shade, Chrysalis keeps things dark. She approaches the cocoon and her eyes glow in the darkness. The light from the cocoon dimly lights up the outline of Chrysalis's body, giving proof that Star was face to face with the Queen. "You've been causing some ruckus down here. It's also seems you've been trying to escape." She could see the cocoon was oddly proportioned, like she was struggling. Chrysalis's magic fixes and reforms the cocoon, making it stronger.
Star gasps as the cocoon tightens. She barely squeezed out words. "You - huff... Won't have me!" She spat on the ground near the queen, and stared straight into her eyes. She gazed into them, and lost herself for a moment. After shaking that weird feeling off, she gritted her teeth. "Do your worst."
Chrysalis smiles. "I'm not going to do anything... yet. I just came to watch you suffer for a moment. It's funny how you can manage to talk so tough when you are quite obviously in my grasp. I'll never understand ponies like you who think they are great heroes. What's that kind puffed up ego going to do for you? Hm?" She says looking at Star with a devious piercing stare.
"Just take me out of this damned cocoon! I'll fight you! You won't even get a chance to move! I was top of my class at Iota, I'll have you know!" Star said with fierce retaliation. She stopped to breathe. "I learned about you creeps, you brainwash us ponies and feed off our emotions. It won't happen!"
Chrysalis giggles. "I have no dought in your power, but do you think you can take a Changeling Queen like myself that is many ages older than yourself. Face it, my powers would make you run home crying. My power was strong enough to drop Celestia, and she is rather powerful compared to unicorns, even without the elements. I think that accounts for a lot." She says getting in Star's face. "Your vocations ultimately are pointless endeavors without a level of skill in what you are claiming to be a master in. From the thoughts that I've seen from you, you are still learning. You are the equivalent to one of my own workers if not one of my guards, in rough estimation, in strength compared to me."
Star grunted. She knew this was true. She was just trying intimidation. Who knows. It could've worked. Suddenly, a craze plan came to her. It was simple, and rather stupid, but who knows? She struggled with greater force than she ever had with her life, and a tiny -rip- sound could be heard. "I hope you like cleaning up these cocoons! Once I get out, it'll be in tatters! And then I'll get you!"
Chrysalis backs off some. "I'd like to see you try to get a upper hand on me. You are aware that having changeling sight would be the only way out of here. Even if you did escape your cocoon, you cannot leave this place alive. This place is secluded in the deepest part of my hive. No pony will ever know you are down here, at least not until it's too late for them." She says as a smile grows on her face. She was amused by Star's aggressiveness, and wonders what she could be capable of. She defiantly is stronger than most ponies who have been captured. She may be more of a threat as a physical attacker than one in magic. Chrysalis delights in the idea of making Star a royal guard once she make her one with the hive, the possibilities were endless.
Lullaby turned to Thunder after Crhysalis left. "Came with mom and dad to see Chrysalis." She said smiling.
"and...who would those be?" she asked making idle conversation not knowing that this was lunas daughter
"Is the big bad bug scared? Come over here! I'll give you what for!" Suddenly, a hoof ripped open the cocoon, and it gradually started to peel away, as if it were an orange. Star popped out, and casted a spell, but it fizziled out of her horn, making nothing more than sparks. "Okay, your weird plant may have drained my magic, but I'll just use my hooves!" She swung madly in the dark, hitting her target several times- assuming that target was the air, of course. She collapsed on the ground, exhausted, just now noticing the pain from the constriction of the cocoon, and the cuts from the vines. She looked at the Queen, who was invisible in darkness save for her bright green eyes. Staring into those emerald orbs, she passed out into a peaceful sleep.
Chrysalis chuckles watching Star uselessly attack her. "Foolish little, Star. Did you think I wasn't prepared for your aggressiveness? I think we made have to give you your 'treatments' early." She says in a soft buzz. She uses her magic to put Star into the cocoon once more. She applies a extra barrier to the cocoon to garentee that it drains her resistance if she tries to break free again. "You know Star. I like you. You remind me of me when I was still a naive young one. I use to always pick fights to prove my strength. You could be a child to me... but you must allow my influence first. Shade will visit you soon, my pray. Enjoy your slumber." She says with a smile. She leaves without another word before Star would wake next.
Star woke up again, but this time in what resembled a drug induced state. The whites of her eyes would occasionally flash green, momentarily giving her sight into the dark abyss, but she was not conscious enough to observe it, instead staring off into space. All of a sudden, she didn't know how to fight back. She didn't know how to reject anything. She wanted to, but she was mentally incapable of remembering how.
Shade walks on over to the entrance inexplicably. Her eyes connect with Chrysalis's when her queen entered. They had a unspoken communication that comes from years of understanding eachother. Shade nods quietly and walks off without a word. Chrysalis looks ahead to their throne, still seeing Lullaby and Thunder present. She sighs and goes walks up to them. "My apologies. My changelings were... causing some issues in one of the construction zones." She says trying to keep the secret of the Deep Hive.
Star saw another silhouette approach in the darkness, carrying a saddlebag. This one was a pony. Or at least SEEMED like a pony. "Who...?" Star's voice trailed off, unsure of herself. She saw the pony place the saddlebag on the ground. "What's in that? You're not the Queen..."
(Shade left with after Chrysalis enter back into the Throne Room, Prince.) Shade smiles and approaches. The light of the cocoon lighting up her figure to show she is a pony, but her eyes glow green like a changeling's. She pulls out a clipboard from the saddlebag with her magic and looks down at it with the light of her magic illuminating it. "Ah, your quite an aggressive one according to this Ms... Star, is it?" She looks looking to Star, happily. "In anycase, you have been analyzed by my Queen personally and she likes what you could be for our hive." She looks back to the clipboard. "A royal guard... hmmm. How tantalizing and fun. I'll get to see you a lot around the hive once we fully transform you." She says with a joyous smile. She doesn't pay any mind to the darkness this time since she was required to keep the lights off to not disturbed the others.
