With each passing moment, Star was becoming more and more docile, even willing to submit. She was able to mouth one final word of resistance. "But-" Then, she lost all desire to break free. With a increasingly cold and monotone voice, Star droned, "I look forward to serving the Queen without thought. I will gladly face the consequences for attempting to harm her earlier."
Shade could only smile as the transformation was increasing. She knew her Queen was a great one but to transform somepony this fast was rather unprecedented. Star must of been quite a troublemaker for this to be warranted. "Our Queen will be happy to hear this." She says with and devious smile. "I'll bring her a report of your progress, but first." She then looks closely to her. She scans her mind and body for anything that would show resistance. So far it looks like she is genuinely changing. Shade wrote this down and she puts the clipboard away. With a smile, she places her saddle bags on her back once more. "Get some rest. Once Our Queen needs you, I will return to bring you to her." She says, knowing that this will make a new day for the hive.
Taffy stirred from her sleep. She could see further through the darkness than before she had slept, but still only saw the few cocoons surrounding her own; she could hear something though... Not with her ears, but in her head again; two voices, very distant, and a little fuzzy; she couldn't quite make out what they were saying... but if she focused very hard, she could recognise one of them as the pony she had met earlier, Shade. She seemed... very happy. Taffy frowned a little, wondering what it might mean.
"Excellent. It will be done." Star curled up comfortably in her cocoon, and drifted off into sleep. Unbeknownst to anyone, even herself, she was learning the secrets of this strange magic. It would take her many years to master it, but she would break free. The parts of her mind that remained untouched were greatly outmatched, the difference between a single molecule of water and the ocean, however.
(Oh yeah, Chrysalis was back to the throne room!) Lullaby smiled after Chrysalis came back. "Welcome back~" she said smiling to her. He gave her a gentle nuzzle as she aproached.
Shade makes her way back up the hole and into the main hive. Not knowing about about all the activity still in the throne room. Fro some reasin she couldn't hear a thing in the hive. There was no way that anypony's thoughts could be this quiet. She tries to communicate with Chrysalis, but nothing happened. Was her hive mind being blocked? Who could do this? Chrysalis smiles and walks up, nuzzling Lullaby. Happy to be back with friendly faces, still wondering what she'll do with Star and the others. Once they meet their time as changelings. She will worry about it as it comes.
(No one else seems to be posting, so I'll go ahead and take the initiative.) Star was peacefully sleeping in a deep trance. She couldn't wait for full conversion, to serve the Queen and leave her old life behind. Her old life, yes, she hated it. Her hate fueled the hive. Compelled her to feed it more. She dwelled on these thoughts.
(Crap. I forgot) Lullaby giggled at the nuzzle Chrysalis gave her. "Alright. Hey, why don"t you show me arround? This is my first time here." She said smiling
Chrysalis then looks to her with a bit of surprise. She had to avoid showing her sensitive areas, though maybe she could at least give her an idea of what they do here. "Oh certainly. You know, I've never really been asked too often to show ponies around. Then again I've always kept a lot about the hive secret." Chrysalis says.
Lullaby smiled. "Thank you!"she said smiling as she hugged Chrysalis happily. She felt happy for finally knowing her home.
(ROLLING FOR INITIATIVE!) Star cringed. Visitors were coming. She just wanted to sleep, and be ready for the Queen to give her her, "Treatments." But she supposed that if the visitors were on good terms with the queen, they were on good terms with her.
Chrysalis nods. "Sure." She heads on out of the room with Lullaby and Thunder behind her. She shows them around and even shows them the new areas where they are building. The hive was expanding for sure. With each day, the hive was almost bigger, if not already, than Canterlot Castle. The largest construct seems to be one going to higher point, maybe a upper hive. Though that area up there is far from finished and the number of changeling guards guarding it suggests it is off limits to all but the worker changelings.
Chrysalis looks at the rise toward the upper hive. "That'll be up and coming upper hive. I've yet too fully decide on what I'll be doing with that, but I'll be a nice addition." She says with a happy smile. As they look at the construct in progress. The way up looks mostly finished but the door way was looking unfinished and he hall inside must be full of worker changelings.
"Wow..." Lullaby said smiling as she looked around .she turned to Thunder whe she asked and heard the answer. "Oh, so that is what they are going to do." She said smilig.
Chrysalis smiles. "A lot of my hive's construction zones are large areas built for their own reasons. In fact there is one that recently got done. This place will soon enough fully connect to the upper hive." Chrysalis says as they head in that direction. They could see a large opening which looked to lead into a even bigger room. There were a few doorways as the path up went up to the top. This place was certainly more polished and finished than the others.
