"Yes I would like that a lot, I need to rest before I set out again." Faerie Fox winces at her hoof. "And I think we both need a little ice too. Tell me about what you've found so far. Do we have any allies?"
"We have seen several infiltration teams from both countries but we sent them back. Rashall is coming with the Angels of Armageddon legion as he was elected the legions Supreme Grand Master. Though we look few there are more Eldar forces waiting two miles in each direction effectively named the Sword Wind of our home of Sar-Neith." says Duress as both of you head into the clearing, you notice that many of the warriors are wolves and not ponies which seems odd to you. "This is Spiritrunner exarch of the howling banshees, the only wraithlord you need to know is the one in the middle his name is Amen'Hen." said Duress he shows you to a tent that has been made up for you. "If you wish to stay we would be glad we need a pony that knows Equestria better than us, I will leave you to your devices here feel free to ask any in camp questions namely myself, Spiritrunner, Amen'Hen, or our forge smith Veneris." says Duress before heading off to see to his squad.
Location Shadow Forest ponies present Gears, Spiritseer, Caberea, and Doodleman: You meet up with the pony Atolli who offers to take you the rest of the way to your destination, he goes on to say that he and his pathfinders disarmed the reaming traps, but that Spiritseer was still a vital asset, do you take the offer or see him off?
"We may as well, if you were planning on doing away with us you would have done it already, so there dosen't seem to be much point in distrusting you." Starfall lets out a long sigh and mutters to himself "Hardly an hour in and we've already been attacked by two of our allies...this is gonna be a long journey."
Location Tower of Angels outer gate, pony present Faerei Fox: you wake up to discover that Duress, Spiritrunner, and the wraithlord Amen'Hen are discussing something their warriors are out practicing combat moves or are standing watch, you find that your armor has been taken to the smith Veneris along with your knife, but a vest has been lain out for you since it's chilly, what do you do??? Location Shadow Forest, ponies present Caberea, Spiritseer, Gears, and Doodleman along with Atolli's pathfinder squad: Atolli stresses to you that he and his pathfinders did not mean any harm the previous day, but that they had seen more golems in the area after the attack on the muster field and decided to set an ambush for any others.When Blacksun had told Atolli that the fight was over he decided to disarm the traps he and his squad had come across. He goes on to say that you still have two miles to travel until you reach your destination, but that he and his squad should scout ahead just in case of ambushes or traps, what is your decision as a group?
Faerie Fox gets up and washes her face and hooves before putting on the vest and going out into the chilly morning. She walks up to Duress. "Thank you for letting me stay here," she says when there's a pause, "I do appreciate it a lot. But where have you put my stuff?"
"It is being stored in the armory just over there, Veneris insisted on making it more presentable." says Duress with a welcoming smile. You walk over to the armory and Veneris gets your armor out without word, you notice that it now has silver inlays on it with different glyphs. "Ah warding runes, in case you run into any demons if the either of the countries are using them." says Duress, do you take the armor back?
Faerie Fox gives Veneris an odd look. "Demons? What are the warding ruins? Oh, this all sounds worse than I thought, I..." She pauses. "More presentable? What was wrong with my armor before? That was a little rude." She giggles at Veneris's face as she says this. "Oh, you know I don't mean it. Please do tell me though. How powerful are these demons?" She accepts the armor from Veneris.
"Depends on the type for there are many, but do not dwell on the subject lest you be viewed upon by even darker things." says the wraithlord Amen'Hen.
Faerie Fox shakes her head. "Now demons? Oh help us. What are our plans for today, should we seek more allies? I'm a strong flier and won't hold anyone behind."
"I'm glad you asked, Akula and his Void Sharks need a guide down the path you were going for we do not have any maps of that road. Guide them to the location you where headed towards that is all we ask of you, the reason why will be revealed to you when you get there. Oh I forgot to mention that Akula and his Void Sharks are all Pegasi and their a newly formed squad, so go easy on them and stick to walking we do not want any enemies in the area to see you, good luck my friend!" says Amen'Hen before heading off, Akula and his squad of five, including himself, approach you with a weird look on their faces. "Names Akula, should we get going?" asks the pitch black pony.
"Of course, do you have everything you need?" Faerie Fox asks. "I know these forests like the back of my hoof. We'll set out right away."
You start down the path with Akula and his squad following you close behind, after two hours of walking you find yourself at the edge of a large field. On one side is a massive army on the opposing side is an equally massive army, Akula nods thoughtfully. "Ok then we wait here until otherwise instructed." says Akula, at this his squad starts to build up defensive fortifications along with an encampment behind, what do you do?
Faerie Fox turns to Akula. "I've been trained as a scout since I was young. I'll go and see what these armies are doing. I'll bring back word soon Akula."
"Of course Akula." Faerie Fox looks at the armies on either side. "The force on the left seems closer. Let's go that way."
As you and Akula start to head out you don't get but a few feet out before a whistling sound cuts through the air Akula looks up in dread and then yells, "Incoming get down now!" he pushes you aside a split second later an explosion knocks you to the ground and you loos consciousness. After a few minutes you start to come round, you notice you are being dragged by one of Akula's squad mates back to the fortifications on the small hill. You are then laid against a wall, through groggy eyes you see the right hand army start to send out small units towards where you are. The battle has begun, what do you do? (you are still a little shaken from the explosion so any sudden movement will make you fall down or dizzy)
Gears agrees that experienced trappers would make the trip safer. However, he does give them a small spherical object, which he activates by pressing two antipodal panels. It uncurls like a wood-louse and scuttles over Gears' shoulder before depositing itself in front of him, reared up. Gears quickly programs it and hands it over. "Use that to check for hidden traps ahead, or safely trigger any that can't be disabled. It'll travel by rolling during the trip, so it's armour will protect it from virtually anything. However, it only runs for about three hours, so you'll have to wind it up every so often." (Are there any Pegasi in the pathfinder group? If not "I could give you an aerial view too, if you want."
Starfall watches the mechanical object with an avid interest as Gear's programs it. "I'll never understand how you're so good with those machines of yours Gears" Starfall lets out a contented sigh and looks to the pathfinder group "At least all of these accidents keep bringing allies to us, even if they end up coming under such circumstances, I'm willing to welcome their aid, what about you Doodle?"
