Crimson Star hops out first, desperately trying hard not to be seen by the enemy. He would take a moment to assess the situation, seeing where the Void Sharks are, and where the enemy is coming from. He would also analyze his surroundings, to see where they were situated. Once he had this information, he would begin to formulate a plan.
Location:LZ Ebony, Ponies present: Crimson S., Caberea, Gears, Doodleman, and Epic: the five of you descend into the LZ and notice that the enemy has the area completely cut off the Void Sharks have made defenses around the crown of the small hill you are on. Varus rushes off to tend to Akula, while the rest of you look around, the Void Sharks have ample cover and you all notice that each of them has some sort of long rifle like the one Deadeye used, but these are placed on hover platforms and move along side the Void Sharks as they walk the perimeter, it is then that you notice another pony identified as Faerie Fox. She seems to be asleep, one of the Void Sharks tells you that Akula pushed her out of the way of a motor strike, but that she was still knocked out by the shock wave. What do you all do?
Doodleman went to Faerie Fox to check on her. He looked at her for some seconds then he sniffed twice near her. "Yep, I have something to wake her up." he said while heading to his saddlebags. He pulled out a small plant with his telekinesis and a small bowl. He placed the bowl on the floor and placed the plant in it. "Okay, everypony, stand back. The scent of this here plant is mighty strong. I call it, The Habapeno!" He began to squish it in a small paste and imediatly an irritable feeling came to everyone´s nose. He finished squishing it and placed the bowl near her nose. Finally he blew the smell of the paste to Faerie´s nose, hoping to wake her up.
Crimson immediately stepped up to take charge. "Is there any way that pony over there can be woken up safely, right now?" Crimson asked, before Doodleman came up with his idea. As soon as he crushed the herb, Crimson sniffed the air, and gagged, putting a hoof over his nose. "If that doesn't work, take her, and get her out of harm's way." He said, letting out a cough, before turning to the others. "I need a volunteer. A pegasus, alicorn, basically anypony who can fly. I don't care who it is, take off, and scout the surrounding area. Find out where the enemy will come from, where they have big guns, what kind of formation they have set up, I want to know everything. Do a flyby reconnaissance of the surrounding area, and report back to me. And somepony get me a map." He then began to take command of the hover guns, and order them to reposition to points on the defensive lines to where they will be most effective.
"Gears, do you think one of your machines could aid Crimson Star with the reconnaissance? The less lives that we risk in this battle the better as it will do no good for us to have any casualities at such an early stage in this war." Starfall surveys the situation from the small hill they are situated upon "At least we have the advantage of height in this battle, if little else" with a grimace falling upon his face "This could be a great deal more trouble than I expected".
Faerie Fox wakes up from Doodleman's concoction and tells you all that there is a large force of eldar to the west. The enemy has you surrounded on all sides and there is no visible way out other than the way you came in. Wolf-N-Mane is talking with the newly revived Akula and Verus about what to do about the current situation. "This is Ghosteye to anypony in LZ Ebony, reinforcements are being mustered for a counter strike to relieve you. You have Warthog squadron along with Vulture squadron racked, stacked and awaiting targets. Your orders are to hold until the reinforcements arrive, out." comes the call over the coms, what do you do???
"Our best chance to break out will be to the East." Crimson mused, studying his map. "Tell Warthog squadron to bombard the enemy forces there, and Vulture Squadron to keep their ammo in reserve for when we need it. I want ambush squads positioned to the West." He indicated two points on his map with his hoof. "Here, and here. Once they've done some damage, tell them to fall back behind our lines. And have the guns over there reposition to the West, and create overlapping fields of fire with those guns there. We don't have much time. Move."
Gears pulls out his other type of robot, an almond-shaped object, from his vest. "Well, I don't have anything that can fly, clockworks are generally too heavy for that. However, this little guy has a returning range of about 8 miles in any direction, and he can bring back audio and video. For detailed recon though, he'll probably only be able to cover a smallish area within a 4 mile radius of here. His coil runs out after roughly an hour." ((I carry two rolly-bots and three insect 'bots. Just so I know how many I have in hand, did Atolli take me up on my offer to let him borrow a roller to help with the traps?))
"Hold on you two, I think relief forces are coming sooner than we just heard." says Wolf-N-Mane while at the same time looking up. You all notice a large cloud moving into position over your location at the same time the other Void Sharks start to clear a space in the middle of the hill. "This is the strike cruiser Ravens Vigil, stand by for reinforcements." comes a call over the vox bead, at the same time Akula limps over to the center and places a rectangular device on the ground, "Coordinates received stand by for reinforcements, out." the air around the device becomes electrified after which a blinding light engulfs the top of the hill. When you look at the center of the hill again you see three squads, two are made up of wolves the other is a mixed group. "Captain Swiftwind 3rd company Blood Ravens at your command Warrior Priest." says a dark red pony in golden armor. "Well it's about time then captain set your troops up around the periphery hold them until the main force arrives. Did the Ravens Vigil see any artillery positions nearby?" asks Wolf-N-Mane. "Aye that we did, Ravens Vigil this is Captain Swiftwind target all artillery positions and eliminate them." says the captain into his vox up link. "Your will captain, firing in fifteen seconds stand by." comes the reply, second latter beams of high intensity lightning smash into the enemy artillery positions nearby. "Alright you six find a spot and stick to it, we are holding here until the Supreme Grand Master arrives with the rest of the Legion." says Wolf-N-Mane, where do each of you go? (there are five different spots, the middle of the hill, western side, eastern side, northern side, and southern side, as you are surrounded and cut off. Air assets are still on station and will hit high value targets as I will specify, you must hold your ground as you can see this is all planned.)
1Hearing that, Doodleman quickly addressed Caberea "Your choice, I actually don't mind the place ya choose, I just need some time so that I can make my bombs, they can help us good time. There´s actually one Im dying to make!" As he said that he pulled out a mushroom that had swirls in its cap and some poison joke with his telekinesis.
(actually you guys need to tell me where you want to go on the hill either individually or in groups of two, lets say you want to go to the western side then I would tell you what you find when you get there and what you can do to help out and the like. Remember wherever you pick is where you stay until the Legion arrives to break you out of the stalemate.)
Faerie Fox, now conscious, turns over her shoulder and calls to Crimson Star, "Hey, I'm going to the northern side, are you coming?"
Crimson was more than a little bummed out that his strategies weren't needed at the moment. But he knew that, eventually, his talents wold be required. Then, he heard the pegasus from before call to him. His lack of self confidence when it came to mares, however, made him question whether or not he was deluding himself. He shook off those insecurities and trotted after Faerie Fox, who apparently needed his help. "Yeah, I'm coming." He said, keeping his head in the game.
Both Crimson S. and Faerie Fox head to the northern area. When they arrive they notice that one of the group of wolves from the Blood Ravens are stationed there as well. "Ah so you two will brave the heaviest area of the enemy assault then? Good, I am sergeant Red Moon second squad terminators. Feel free to take a look around, though you might want to armor up, I wouldn't doubt that the enemy is preparing for the assault at this moment. Again welcome to the front lines." says the terminator sergeant. You both notice that these wolves are armed with a hammer and a shield and that their armor is heavier than that of the Void Sharks, what is it that you wish to do?
Crimson surveys the scene, before deciding to take a communications headset. He then turns to Faerie. "I need you to do me a big favor, Faerie Fox." He said. "Take a headset, and fly overhead. Watch me from above, and tell me when enemy units are getting close. I'm gonna run through the forest, and harass the enemy in every way possible. That should take some pressure off of our forces. That sound like a plan?"
Doodleman raised a hoof to his chin, thinking. He said "I think ill go to the middle of the hill. Anything wrong just give me a shoutout!" He said while going to the middle of the hill.
Starfall nods confirmation to Doodleman "It looks like Crimson Star and Faerie have the situation to the north under control, I'll take the south. Lets all do our best to make it through this fight" Starfall heads off to the southern position.
Faerie Fox accepts the headset. "Of course, I'll meet up with you soon." She zips into the air overhead.
(I'll just assume that neither bots were used, then...) Gears sits, alone now, and scratches his head. If we have six ponies and two go to the North and South, while a fifth remains in the centre, how does the final pony cover both East and West? He sets down his two roll-bots and activates them. "Just come to the east when your coils start running down." The clockworks roll West, and Gears trots off to the East.
Doodlman: as you reach the middle of the hill you notice a strange looking wolf, his armor is pitch black and his helmet looks like a skull. In one hand he holds a short staff like weapon that has a double headed eagle at the top, his other weapon is a pistol weapon. He looks at you and stares you in the eyes as though judging you, you also notice that Akula, Varus, Wolf-N-Mane, and Captain Swiftwind talking with each other, what do you do? Starfall: as you reach the southern area you notice that this is where the other terminator squad has set up. One of the wolves looks at you with interest, he has an odd looking polearm in one hand and a wrist mounted weapon on the other. Two of the others have multi-barreled weapons while the other two have what looks like two of the pistol weapons fused together, you also notice that the other gauntlet is larger than the other. "I am segeant Nightvein first squad terminators welcome to the rear. Don't be fooled though we know this enemy all too well you are lucky we got here when we did." says the sergeant, the others are already scanning the area for targets, what do you do? Gears: When you reach the eastern area you notice that the Void Sharks here seem a little on edge. A wolf stalks around the area looking out into the woods every now and again, something seems off about him. He holds a ancient looking sword in one hand while the other is free of any other weapon, his armor is a light bluish though the right pauldron still shows off the symbol of the Blood Ravens. After looking you over quickly he goes back to looking at the forest, do you approach him? Crimson Star: you head out into the woods and soon run into a group of ponies milling around waiting for orders, they seem heavier set than the golems you saw attack the muster field. You also get the feeling that there is something else watching you, but is content with waiting to see what happens. What do you do??? (there are about 30 heavy golems here, they are the equivalent of earth ponies but can with stand much more damage. make sure to avoid their close range attacks they are meant to absorb damage and deal it out in huge quantities.)
