"I know... I've noticed..." Stardust said, nuzzling her cheek. "What instruments do you play?" She asked quietly as Charlie leaned on her, tired from the amulet's draining.
"Wow... I'd like to hear you play later, when you're feeling better,... if that's okay..." Stardust said, starting to doze off because of her body-heat. "Y-you're so warm..." Stardust whispered, and fell asleep.
"Ya that's fine." Charlie fell asleep, her amulet keeping it's shield warm and impenetrable for the mares safety.
The next morning, Stardust had her arms around Charlie, who, in turn, was clinging to her, as if her life depended on it. Stardust's eyes fluttered open, "Charlie? What are you-?" Her eyes shot open, but she couldn't move. "Um... Charlie? Can you move your legs at all? I don't have any feeling in mine." It was true, neither of them could move, and they had been partially covered in some kind of gooey, black substance. It slowly started creeping over Stardust, though almost unnoticeable.
(But the shield it held all night that couavnet have happened!!\T-T/) Charlie jolted awake and she could only move an untouched hoof, "Great so I've lost eye sight and feeling." Charlie rested her head on Stardust back trying her best to give a hug.
(Yes... I know... You trapped it inside the bubble in the first place >:3 )"Ugh... it feels really weird... Wait! There's a shard of glass over here!" Stardust said, trying to reach it, but more of the black stuff appeared and took it. "Charlie... I-I'm scared..." Stardust said as the stuff tightened around them.
Charlie tried to stand up, the bubble around them vanished, te black goo began to retreat backwards uncovering both Charlie and Stardust. Charlie could feel it move, "What's happeneing?" she stared blankly forward.
Charlie stood her legs still I little weak from the energy drain. "Feels like it." the amulet lite up again and a clear ring burst from it disintegrating the rest of the goo. "I hate this thing.." Charlie muttered. "But it's also saved my life a few times." she took a step forward and tripped over a rock and tumbled a few feet. "stupid blindness!" she spoke with her Trottingham accent.
"Oh, Charlie..." Stardust said quietly, helping her up. They walked over to a ruined house, and went inside. Stardust spotted a violin, and grabbed it.
Charlie stood by the door wondering which way would be less hurtful. She found a chair to her right and sat down, "Where are we now?" she asked
"We're in a ruined house, of some sort..." Stardust gazed at the violin in her hooves, "U-um... here, I want you to have this," She said, placing it in her arms.
Charlie felt the strings and her face lit up, "A violin?" she plucked the strings a few times making sure the wooden instrument was tuned, it was and Charlie began to play. She started a slow melody but soon added an upper beat.
Stardust sat in awe as Charlie composed a masterpiece right before her eyes. It's so beautiful... like her. Stardust blushed suddenly, W-why would you think that! She's not interested, and you know that! I-I know you're lonely, because Viet died, but seriously!? Then Stardust's thoughts took a dark turn, You could, you know, take advantage of her... disability... It's not like she could do much... She began arguing with herself, resulting in a firm smack across her own face.
Charlie was so into her music to noticed, she let her muscles move all on thier own. The sweet sound of the melody brought Charlie back to the first night she ever touched an instrument.
Stardust finally calmed her thoughts, but her emotions wouldn't be so easily stalled. Stardust began to cry from the absolute beauty of Charlie's talent, and her flank then displayed its Cuti Mark. A treblecleff, mixed in with whitish, swirling ribbons. Stardust, however, did not notice. She was too caught up in the music.
Charlie finished the song ending in a long calming note. She placed the violin gently on the floor careful not to drop it. She waited for a sec, "So umm what do u think?" she waited patiently for Stardust reaction.
Stardust jumped up, and wrapped her arms around her. "It was so beautiful!" She cried, kissing Charlie's cheek from the happiness she felt in her heart.
