"Mommy!?" Krysis rushed over to Charlie and carefully picked her up. Krysis cautiously placed her on the old bed next to Stardust. "Rest, mommy... please." Krysis stayed watching over the two mares while they rested.
Charlie tried to tug the stupid amulet but was cursed on and shocked Charlie as she struggles to get it off. She finally gave in and laid on the bed, "Stupid amulet." She grumbled.
Krysis touched the amulet gently, then sat back and went into security mode. "Good night mommy..." She said before powering off.
Charlie laid on the bed for a little longer. She stared at the window watching the storm and thought about how much she wanted to go home. Charlie began to cry quietly careful but to wake the others up. Charlie felt the amulet glow again but it only opened a window like portal home. Charlie perked up as the window showed Red in his house playing his guitar and humming along. Charlie tapped the amulet twice and the window shut off.
An explosion rocked the foundation, and Krysis rushed to the door... only to take a rocket to the chest. She was sent flying and another mech, a white one with the word "RED" spelled out in blood across it. "You both must die!" A horribly familiar voice screamed.
Charlie jolted up by the sudden voice. She stood protectively by Stardust and Alrdy Charlie could feel the amulet do something.
A portal to Charlie's home, not a window, an actual portal opened up. In it was Red's house. The attacking mech fired a large bomb at them and missed. Instead, it went in through the portal, causing it to fizzle out a moment later. The enemy mech also fizzled out, gone forever. When Charlie attempted to re-open the portal, even the window, all that happened was sparks and arcs of electricity. "What did you do!?" Stardust asked, "Did you use magic?"
"No it's this stupid curse!!" Charlie tapped the amulet more and finally got a small enough portal but it would only take two ponies. "Buck! Y wont you work?" Charlie began to get frustrated, "I cant make it stronger for 3 ponies!" She cried.
Stardust put her arms around Charlie and held her close, "Hey... it's all right. Everything's going to be fine. Just don't try to use that thing, ok?" Krysis had gotten back up, "I-I'm ok... m-mommy..." She said weakly. "Oh, hello. Charlie? Who is this?" Star asked kindly.
Charlie was to distracted on Ger amulet to answer. The portal had closed and Charlie felt sick to her stomach now. She finally had the chance to go home and she blew it.
Krysis looked at her, anger in her voice, "You were going to leave, weren't you! Mommy can't do that! Not to her friend!" Krysis started unsheathing all of her weapons and pointed them down at her. "Mommy cannot leave..."
Charlie was in no mood to deal with this "Don't you dare go there!" She snapped. She stood on the bed and glared at Krysis. "Your not even my boss so don't tell me what I can and cannot do!" Charlie was now in Krysis face and for a small pony she held a lot of rage.
Krysis retracted her weapons instantly, realizing what she was about to do, "S-sorry mommy... I'm really sorry... c-can I have a h-hug? Please, mommy?" Krysis lowered her entire body so low that she touched the floor and was a full 2 feet lower than Charlie.
"And stop calling me mommy I'm only 18.." Charlie hopped down from the bed and started to work on her amulet again.
Krysis extended four of her tentacles and several twists and turns were made until, after a few seconds, she stopped. "Try it now, please..."
Charlie did but the amulet stayed dead. Charlie cursed under her breath and let the amulet fall around her neck. "I told you."
Krysis looked devastated, "S-sorry Charlie... I failed you..." Her photoreceptors widened, "Y-you're bleeding!" It was true, Charlie was bleeding badly from her chest... in the exact spot where Krysis was hit by the rocket, but Charlie wasn't hit. Stardust rushed over and staggered backwards from the sight.
Charlie touched the wound then pulled it away in confusion, "i-i don't feel anything.." Charlie began to blink rapidly and her amulet began to glow but quickly died again.
