I've recently gotten back into these games, playing Demon's Souls at the moment after finding out its servers were still running. Love these games? Post about things you do. Don't know these games, I'll be more than happy to tell you about them. Stuck somewhere? I can help you with pretty much every aspect of the game, from helping with enemies and weapons to helping perfect your characters builds. I love these games so much for their fair difficulty. You will die a lot, but almost every time it's because of something you slipped up with, like taking on too many enemies at once or not looking around you as you move carefully through an area. Lots of rage to be had playing these, but it feels so great when you improve and start making the game your mare. Then there's the PvP, which is amazing when it's not trolls or people ganging up on you. With spells, miracles, vastly different weapons, there are just so many ways to play these games! ^^ This time in Demon's Souls, I'm planning on making a Dexterity build with Uchigatana and Sticky Compound Long Bow. It's so versatile I love it!
I must say you have intrigued me, I think I will be getting this game once my PC is up and running again. It's not often a game comes along that actually requires skill, instead of min-maxing.
Both come into play, really. But both games can be beaten at level 1 with basic equipment (I've seen it done). Min-maxing helps you get the most bang for your buck in terms of level and equipment, naturally. That is pretty much the definition of min-maxing though. X3 Min-maxing only fully comes into the picture for the PvP metagame. Sent from my DROID3 using Tapatalk 2
I don't really like Dark Souls to be honest. Then again, i'm a sucker for popular names. I look at Dark Souls and i think "Hey, it's another random RPG." But if you put a game like The Elder Scrolls infront of me, i'd probably buy it even if it was bad.
God, Grey, tell me about it. These games have cost me two controllers. Mainly because of bs PvP Darkmoon Blade+Raw WashPole5. PvP and collision are SO BROKEN, and that's what just breaks Dark. PvP in Demon's is beautiful, like a well oiled machine, though. I just don't like the setting versus Dark.
I never really had a problem with PvP in Dark. There are tons of ways to be highly effective and if I get killed by people who are clearly tweaking or just out to troll, I roll my eyes and keep on. PvP in Demon's is undeniably better, though. These two games have only cost me one controller, and that was because of my first time ever playing Demon's Souls, taking 3+ hours to finish the first level. All my rage that caused.
