Self-Explanatory Title. What are you guys hoping to see? What games are you excited for? I'm personally helping for some Elder Scrolls news, and I'm looking forward to Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, as well as Mass Effect 4 and Battlefront 3. I've grown up with all those franchises and I'm looking forward to what the next installments have in store.
No, seriously, does Pac Man REALLY have to be in Brawl? Is that TRULY necessary? He's.... rather hideous to look at.
While everybody else is super happy about the Nintendo conference, I do have to say it didn't give me any additional titles to look forward to (noting that Zelda U had already been revealed to have existed quite some time before E3). In fact, E3 did nothing but cement a few disappointments for me. Firstly, it proved my fears that The Sims 4 adds nothing of any significance, and thus has pretty much killed the series for me. A series I once really loved, but I just can't call that a 'sequel'... It's not even a reboot... It's just "Lets take The Sims 3, change up the graphics [some for the better, some for the worse], repackage and rerelease it". I suppose I have played the series too long. I'm not even going to begin to think of going through their whole scheme of distributing out what should have been base-game content throughout all of the Expansion Packs, again. Not when they can't even make the base game something...different. It is NOT a worthwhile investment. Well, with that, I can say goodbye to the horrible expenses of PC gaming as well, so it's not all bad. The second being Super Smash Bros. The characters revealed pretty much 100% confirm a really lame (IMO) character roster leak. Although it's already bad enough that Palutena got in. I was so hoping that somehow (however unlikely it was at this point) they would destroy the leak by revealing somebody that wasn't Palutena, Mii, or Pac-Man, but then they went and showed all three. It's just especially lame to me that Nintendo would really let the characters leak that early. It was only a few months before the final release date of Brawl when the real roster leak appeared, but this one... We've had it for, what, months... Maybe even an entire year, now? What a buzz-kill. It was hard to even have fun speculating this time, when the real leak was right in front of us for so long.
Although I just bought an $800 gaming PC, I will definitely buy an xbox one just for the Halo collection. Halo 2 was the greatest game that ever existed(imo relax) Those remastered screenshots I saw blew my freaking mind. Graphics aren't the most important thing to me, but the thought of my favorite game being remade with actual online gameplay again gets my blood pumping. I thought Halo 2 Anniversary was not going to happen and then I saw it was confirmed and had my biggest gamegasm since the Halo 3 beta was first released. I pray to god they don't ruin it but they probably will. Halo 2's imperfections made it the perfect game.
Halo CE's Anniversary was intentionally left with the original code intact to keep the authenticity. It would make sense if the same would come of these releases as well, at least on the single player side of things. The multiplayer will probably run on whatever their next new engine is, like they did with CE's Anniversary. So probably no BXRing, super jumps, etc in the multiplayer maps. :derpe: Halo 2 was definitely a favorite of mine, it makes the Xbox One that much more tempting haha.
It's a certainty for me. I'm just glad I have time to save up. Halo 2's regular gameplay is still really good. It's the simplicity of it. Not a lot of extra crap like perks, armor abilities, custom classes, sprinting, etc. Just good ol' fashion seek and destroy. Halo 2 was also amazing because it took a unique set of skills to be good at it, and you can practice alone in custom games to master these sort of things, like super jumps and double shooting. If you can combine the glitches into your regular skill you were unstoppable. One of the things my friend could do that not a lot of others could was super jump outside Terminal. We would always troll the enemy team by doing this with their flag and contesting it forever. Ah, memories. The campaign has it's fair share of fun glitches and easter eggs too. The scarab gun and soccer ball are the first that come to mind, and also being completely free to explore the entire island on Delta Halo. There are absolutely no death barriers, even under water. You just can't fall for too long or you will die.
Have even they made a good Pac-Man game since this monstrosity happened? When're Namco gonna pull Klonoa back in action? Klonoa was great.
