"The Mustang was conceived, designed and built by North American Aviation (NAA) in response to a specification issued directly to NAA by the British Purchasing Commission." -Wikipedia

I'm going to derail this Internet fight with a question I've always wanted to ask... How do the schools in England teach the American Revolution (or whatever you call it), if its taught at all? Spoiler: American P-38 Lightning FTW
Nope not taught here. We mainly learn stuff about the Romans, the Celts, WW2 (mainly the home front and evacuation) and Victorians at primary school. While from year 7-9 we learn about more romans, normans, the dark ages, the slave trade plus more. Finally in year 10 and 11 for GCSE we learn about the history of medicine (stone ages to modern day), Terrorism (including Israel and Palestine; Nelson Mandela freedom fighter or terrorist, the IRA, first and second gulf war, 9/11 and al-qaeda) and finally Hitlers Germony 1931-1945. (We even learn a bit about what happened to germany after ww1 and the reichstag). One bad thing about history here is that for our assessments we can bring as many notes as we need but have to do a 5 hour assessment in 1 go. Though we can leave for break and lunch is.
We have firearm units for such situations. Getting your hands on a gun over here'd be pretty difficult though, so situations involving gun crime is very rare.
Really? I thought that you would at least mention it as the glorified tax protest that it is... Then again, what you see as a simple uprising, we see as the greatest struggle of our history. At least you have thousands of years of recorded history. We have thousands of years of Navajo sand paintings and Arrowheads. American history really is just skimming over the colonization and dragging out the parts that make America look cool. No wonder we look like *squee!*s. 'Murica. Then again, America didnt have to go through the whole "medieval" thing.
I think we covered the history of America in 2 terms at High School, so that's September to January-ish. Rest of it was medicine and the Russians during the Cold War.
