She considered this. “I always liked the science books,” she mused, mixing two vial contents together. “But I was never allowed to actually test them. We’re just catching up now.”
“Clearly not,” she said affectionately, glancing at him out of the corner of her eye. “It’s no matter though; I understand. I wouldn’t trust me either.”
“Hm. I appreciate your concern, but don’t worry,” she said, setting the vial in the vortex. “I won’t destroy the lab.”
She was humming some foreign tune under her breath, distracted by her work as she moved around the lab. Her dark hair had been pulled back, although a few strands had gotten loose and she blew them out of her face.
Digit looked up before padding over to him, taking a moment to jump onto his lap and curling up in a small circle.
"The one in the incubator is a test," she said. "I don't want to tell you what it does yet. This one here combines my magic with the experimentation. I've never done it before, obviously, but it seems fairly simple."
