"Alright. Let's look around." said Rosy. "Oh look!" she said excitedly, pointing to a busker playing a fiddle.
Rust would follow the mare thinking to himself, "Wow, she is kind of cute, even the way she acts." Then, mentally something slapped him, "Hello!? Are you mad? Why would you even attempt a mare like that?!" "Why not?" "You barely met each other today!" "Okay... I'll get to know her better then."
Rosy watched the busker until he finished his piece. "Wasn't that wonderful, Rust?" she asked, applauding.
Snapping back into reality, Rust looked like he had been listening the whole time even though he was not, "Yeah, that was good." He said with a small grin. Whatever he thinks it remains in his head for some time, he still could not fathom the thought of this place being so... empty afterwards. Shops began to close up, some staying on just in case, but would begin to close up as others finished.
"I know," Rust said in a calmed voice, a smirk across his face, "Come on, I need to show you something."
(Sorry for the late reply.) He could not help but chuckle, and as they would walk through the brush of the forest, there was an opening, and as they would arrive to the opening, there was a large pond with tree growing all around it as well as plants and ferns. There was a long dock that was covered completely in red and green moss, lightening bugs flashing over it.
"Yeah, when I used to have family I ran away from home to here, taking what blankets and books I could and just posted up here for a few nights. Sure it was tough getting the food, but I loved it, and when I got sick I started to experiment with some plants to create medicines, and after getting myself worse and worse I did find the cure to the sickness. Other then that, I come here every once in a while." Rust said with some pride, even explaining some stuff he did from his childhood days. This place was sacred to him, no one knew it was here, and hopefully they wouldn't.
"I can see why you love it so much." she said. A firefly landed on her nose, and she looked at it, cross-eyed.
Rust chuckled as the firefly landed on the mars nose, "It seems to take a liking to you," He would smile, not too big or anything, just enough to at least see some form of joy on his face, "Normally those who are of peace can attract some of the harmless creatures."
Rosy carefully reached a hoof up, and the firefly landed on it. The glow illuminated her face, and she smiled. "Hey, little one." she cooed.
Rust walked out onto the dock, and sat down, sighing in relief, "This place... its been some time, it never ceases to amaze me."
"Five," Rust would say calmly, looking straight, "My parents abused me, trying to strop me of my freedoms and what not. I ran away to here a lot, and luckily they did not know about this place, otherwise it would be trashed by now." he said, referring to the young mares and colts that go out and party.
"Yeah, work, work, work, that was always them," Rust said, sighing, but then decided to change the topic, "So, do you have any family?"
