"Mm, well I won't ask any questions further about that," He would say, gazing at the stars. He wandered what was beyond this forested land, if there was anything to discover new, yet, he was not too sure. He didn't want to leave, he had a good job, reputation, and a good life so far, and he did not want any of that to be taken away. He would look to Rosy, but then out to the large pond, seeing the fish come up to quickly grab insects that landed on the water.
"Thank you." said Rosy, appreciatively. When she saw the fish, her eyes widened, and she jumped. "Whoa!" she exclaimed, tucking a lock of hair behind her ears.
Rust leaned back, now laying down and looking at the sky fully. He didn't mind anything out of the norm, as long as it was never harmful at all.
"Yeah, I used to point out constellations to myself, seeing how many I could get." Rust explained to Rose. He did not know why he felt comfortable around this mare, but, it was for the best perhaps.
"I know that one," she said, pointing at the Ursa Major. She rubbed her eyes sleepily, and pointed out another constellation. "And that one." she mumbled.
Rust began to think in silence, until he spoke, "right theres the Big Dipper, and there Orion's Belt."
"You see those three stars in that line right there, the ones surrounded by those others?" he would point out.
Rust would smile to himself, he did;t enjoy enjoy anything like this before. He had a friend, and thats all that mattered.
Rosy mumbled quietly to herself as she dozed off. She naturally curled up in her sleep to a fetal position. Occasionally, her horn would light up with a burst of robin's egg blue, indicating dreams.
Rust would doze off as well, dreaming otherwise. He would need to be more of a "Ponies type of Person." Just in case he wanted more friends like this. (Time skip?)
(Yeah, let us begin there.) The sun began to rise, the moon lowering slowly. Dusk turned to Dawn, the sunlight beaming through the thick trees.
Rust was still asleep, and was not all over the place like most Colts in a bed. He wasn't like most of them though, he was silent until spoken to, knew how to follow orders with no complaint, and loves to work.
Rosy sleepily watched him for a moment, mainly because she lacked the stamina to do anything else. Eventually, though, she stood up and looked around at the area in the sunlight.
Rusted Cog began to awake as the fun hit his right eye, blinding him for the moment. He would sit up, yawning silently, then looked around, trying to figure where the hay he was.
