Intrude hopped slightly on the bookcase, and climbed down. "Alright then. What should we do first once we have, quote on quote, teamed up?"
"Consalidate ourselves. Get as much resources as we can, espically water, as the Gamekeepers will not want us to stay in one spot for too long. Maybe even set up a proto-typical 'Home Base' from where we can set out from, say a cave or something else easy to defend at night. But this year, District 2 will not be found among the Careers, which will weaken them, and make it easier on us. After we are consalidated, then we find some way to destroy the supplies the Careers will win from the bloodbath at the Cornucopia, which will play to our favor as they will think we are with them and not try to kill us, grab a couple weapons, and get out." Julion paused, "One thing we need to do is keep moving."
Intrude nodded. "Here the thing. You said you'll go to the Cornocopia and then we'll meet. Will you be ok?"
Julion smiled, "I've beaten just as many Peacekeepers in hoof-to-hoof combat before in training, and not even all of the tributes will be going there. And besides, I've got an advantage of my own." He said pointing to his eyes, "When under my trance, it is impossible for anypony to do anything without my say so. I'll call it my secret weapon. Also, my coat. I'll be right back." Julion then left Intrude confused as he fetched his Peacekeeper coat. "This thing is near-impossible to rip into, so my vitals will be protected very well." he said, tossing the coat onto Intrude, just to show her just how heavy it was.
She pulled out a roughly stone-carved moon. "It's kinda dumb, but it's from Bolt," she said, slightly embarrassed.
Julion looked at the cresent, "You know, even the most innocent of symbols can mean so much more." He said, glancing upwards to Intrude, "To me, it's a simple carving, but to you I bet and espically Bolt, it means so much more doesn't it?" Suddenly their mentor entered the library, "I just wanted to let you know that the first training session will be soon, so be ready." she said before disappearing again.
Intrude laughed slightly, and looked back down at the token. "Yeah.. Yeah it is." she nodded. "Ready to go?"
Julion nodded, "Let's go." (I just remembered the parade is supposed to come first, but hey, why not add a training session in the day before?)
(*laughs* Yeah, I was wondering, but y'know, I think this is better because they are just kinda getting into their stride.) Intrude walked into the room, and blinked. The dark room was different, and most of the ponies were already there. Quickly, the mare explained about the games. Don't underestimate survival, etc. As soon as the Mare gave the OK, Intrude headed to the flexibility section. Her horned glowed, and she took a deep breath. "Ok..." she murmured, "Ok." She leaped onto the obstacle course and started to battle.
Iron had slept soundly on his bed last night but he couldn't get the idea out of his head that Eluuna liked him or not but he was worried that he is going to have to kill Eluuna to survive but Iron pushed that thought deep into his mind. He saw alot of other ponies and started to get scared most of them looked really though and all he could do is build stuff but he does have strong magic so that must be something. He started to walk towards the one of the obstacle course and started to learn and battle.
Julion looked around, trying to decide what to do. He finally went with a stradegy of hanging around the other careers in order to convince them he is on their side, which would make going for the Cornucopia all the easier. They were currently at the spear throwing station, so he silently slid in between them, levitated up a spear, and threw it at the target, splitting the spear already in the bull's eye. Then, he left them heading for the survival stations, if he maintained those performances every once an a while, they would think he was either a): with them, or b): too dangerous to mess with at the very beginning while he was fresh.
Eluuna looked up as the District Two stallion cantered into the survival stations. She looked back down, and finished her makeshift bed. Sun: Wee! She burst into the magic training.
Julion stopped to take stock of those around him, seeing a pony working on camoflagued shelters, Hm, let's see if I can pick up a few tips, he thought to himself, putting on a friendly face and walking up to the mare and starting trying to make small talk while purposely messing up a shelter, "So, what District you from?" he asked.
"District 2. Though I'm not your typical Career I guess you can say." Julion said with a sigh as he 'messed up' a third shelter, "I never wanted to be here, but was kinda forced to. I could have been a Peacekeeper by now, off to some District somewhere." Julion looked over to Eluuna, "What are the Peacekeepers in 11 like?"
Eluuna's expression hardened. "You don't want to know. Here, let me help you with that." She took the shelter and within minutes had made it into a small hut. "The key is the type of material. It's like spider silk. Different things for different purposes."
"Thanks for the tip." Julion said with a slight smile, and he soon built up a shelter with the same speed and skill as Eluuna, "Well ain't that something?" he said, "You know, I have been training for the Peacekeepers since I was ten, so I didn't actually need your help, but thanks for the tip. Not like we're going to find that material in the arena anyways. Maybe I should show you a couple things to make up for it, what do you think of that?"
