"excuse me sir, my names cobraheart captain of the lunar border guards. I believe the princess herself wants to see you and myself in private. A messenger gave me both yours and mine by accident" Hands kleft the letter with a strange symbol on the front.
Dark Shine decided he would go see who he could find and ask them if anything was going on. Somepony HAD to know what he could do.
Winter and Velvet finally made it out of the building, and in the daylight, it was obvious Winter's wounds were worse than he let on. His broken leg was hanging limply from an unnatural bend in his leg, and he was covered in cuts and bruises. It was taking all of Winter's strength just to stay awake, "We...need...to...get...to the hospital." he said weakly before collasping again.
"Oh, come on, it's been a looonnng time since i've went to that place. My remedies and potions can heal everything, except broken hearts. You'll see, i simple sip of tea and your bones will take back their place, stronger than before~!" Velvet unlocked her shop's door with her magic, and opened it wide. "Come on, i'll drop you on the sofa, and prepare an healing herbal tea~" Velvet slowly let go Winter on the couch, and went in the small kitchen. She came back with a cristal cup, filled with a slightly pink tea. "Be carefull, it's really hot."
Winter smiled a bit, "They don't call me Icy-Hot for nothing." He said, floating the tea over to him. His horn glew slightly brighter for a second and suddenly no more steam was rising from the cup. He carefully sipped the tea to make sure he hadn't chilled it TOO much, it wasn't, it was perfect. "Thank you." he said.
Kleft took the letter from the pony and skimmed over it. "Yes," he said. "These instructions are much more detailed than the ones I had earlier. Thank you." He placed the letter in his saddlebag and looked back at Cobra. "Well then, Captain Cobraheart, I suppose we should get moving."
"ok, just tell me, who exactly are you and I'm just a captain of the border guards why would Luna summon me unless I'm going to get promoted" "anyway, follow me the 10am train to the capital is about to arrive your tickets should be disclosed with the letter"
"Oh, you don't have to thank me. The only satisfaction i take from my work are smiles and happiness. Now, don't move for ten minutes, and you shall be alright."
"I was recently promoted to Captain myself." Kleft said as they walked together. "I was sent from Lunar Island to aid with some dispute involving the Solar Nation." He looked off into the distance and squinted at the sun. 'Even with my polarization shield, it still burns.' He thought. Kleft decreased the amout of light that could pass through his shield. 'Much better.' He thought. Out loud, he said "So then, what's your story? Surely you have to be important if the princess wants you there while she's talking with me."
"well, one of my most recent events that happened to me is when I mobilised almost every border guard in the lunar mainland to stop a siege from the solar empire. I believe it happened during your time on lunar island"
Fire and Snow had said their goodbyes and went back to their own business. He decided to simply relax, like he used to, before Equestria divided. I was truly a relaxing day, until an alarm was heard towards the prison. Firebreeze sighed, "Doesn't that fool know that prison's in a military base?" He thought out loud, "oh, yeah, he was knocked out." Firebreeze called a few of his own men, who also brought Fire his gun, and they entered the prison to find whoever made it out of their jail cell.
The two ponies rounded a corner to arrive in a lightly packed train station. As luck would have it, the train was already waiting for them to take them to the capitol. "Ah, this is it then!" Kleft said. He pulled his ticket out of his saddlebag and read the number. Platform 12, 1st class. Delightful, looks like they would be riding in style. "I don't know my way around this port," Kleft admitted. "I'll just follow you, then."
After about ten minutes had passed, Winter got up from the couch, feeling a million times better, "That's some powerful stuff you got there Miss. Velvet." He said streching, "It must have taken a long time to prefect that recipe." Dark landed in an alley of Canterlot, she would have to tread carefully to avoid being revealed as a Storm. Luckily she hadn't brought her armor in order to fly faster, so she looked like another citizen. She composed herself and blended into the crowd outside the alley, making absouletely sure she acted just like them.
"Oh, not that much. Everypony can do this kind of magic. But sometimes, the ingredients aren't that easy to find. If you want, i can teach you."
"Nah, its fine." Winter said. "Now, I really need to get to the castle, but I will be back, I won't forget my promise." he said heading towards the door.
"Oh, i'm sure you won't. Because, anywhere you'll go, i'll follow you. See this necklace, pined on the wall? Take it with you. It'll protect you, and you'll be able to summon me when you're done at the castle. Now, go, and hurry up. I see that you'll be late."
"Thank you again." Winter said as he took the amulet, "If it wasn't for you, I would still be stuck on that pile of desks." and then he left, heading straight for the castle.
Velvet smiled, and went to her desk. She took a small box made of crystal, and opened it. Under her desk was a big rack, containing other pendants. She took the one similar to Winter's, and put it in the box. As she closed it, a light emaned from the box. In the light, she could see what Winter saw at the same exact moment, and the light's color signified his emotions. "Now, Winter, i'll just have to wait.", she said to herself.
Winter entered the throne room of the castle, but it was empty, as expected. He crept up to the throne, and slid out a card from his hidden hoof pocket. He inserted the card into an almost invisible slot and a panel opened up, revealing a complex combination of letters, numbers, colors, and code runes. He then punched in a combination so fast that it was unfollowable (Trained to do so, of course), then a small hole opened up, into which he inserted his horn like a key, and then placed his hoof on one final panel that read the print and a small mechanical voice said, "Validated, Winter "Icy-Hot" Warmth, Clearence level: Alpha Solar." Winter smirked and then got onto the throne, which then went down like an elevator to be replaced by another. After he reached the bottom, a Guard saluted him, then asked, "Sir, why are you not in uniform?" Winter realized he wasn't wearing it really for the first time and then thanked the Guardspony for pointing it out. He went into the dress room and threw on the camoflagued uniform. He then walked through a dizzing set of hallways and stairs and elevators before finally going through a large set of doors into a room that was filled to the brim with technology and maps and all sorts of different intelligence peices. Even though he had been through here many times, he still was taken aback by the overwhelming nature of the room.
Velvet walked upstairs, where she last saw her sister. "Even if Winter isn't there, it doesn't mean i can't investigate. I know my sister wouldn't go away from me. She must have been... Kidnapped. But why haven't i heard nything?" She tried to remember what had happened. She was sure her sister replied when she had given her the tea. Except that she just heard her sister. Nopony said she was alone at this moment, threatened by another pony, manipulated to make Velvet think her little sister was only studying. As she tought about that, something came to her mind: Why, in the first place, somepony would've wanted to kidnap her? Why Velvet Purple? She shook her head. She didn't needed the answer to this question to know that her sweet little sister had was now missing, and she didn't had any clues to put the police on the case. She went downstairs, and looked at the box on her shop's desk. She could see a large throne room in the light. She was right: Winter wasn't anypony. She was lucky she met him in this school. She took he small box, and opened it. The light was now recharged, and was imbued within the pendant. Wether she looked at the silver disk or not, the images were clear in her mind. She sat on the sofa, and closed her eyes. She followed Winter, waiting for his call. As soon he would wish her to be at her side, she'll be summoned. But it needed all of her concentration, and the only way to know when Winter will want her to appear was to follow him whereever he went. She put aside her worries about her sister, and focused on the mental images she received from Winter.
