Winter approached Celestia, who was pouring over a map of the four nations, "Your Highness, I have my report of the Lumar Island. I watched several military installations and got a good idea of the native's ideology. They will not be bothering us, they are a very rooted group. All drills had to do with defense, with almost no offense, and the natives want nothing more than to remain on the Island at all cost. And also while I was there, I burned many acres of field and froze parts of their water supply. I would estimate the costs at around 3 quarter million bits." he said. "Good, I can always trust you to go above and beyond your duties can I?" the Princess said. "Oh, and Your Lordship, might I ask to go on a special assignment of my own?" Winter asked. "Fine, and after your done, you can have a week's leave, you are plenty overdue for one." "Thank you, My Princess." he said and then teleported away, appearing in front of Velvet as she was deep in thought with a pendant in front of her that showed his perspective on Velvet. Winter quickly realized what was going on when she looked up in shock. "How much did you see?" He asked, barely containing his rage, his eye twitching in anger.
The criminal was quickly locked back up in a heavily monitored cell. Fire and the small squad began to walk to the 'storm Runners'' barracks, when one soldier said, "Sir, I thought you were getting a few days off." Firebreeze simply smiled and said, "There ain't no rest for the wicked, kid. Might as well just get back to work."
Snow was back at her desk, "Let's get started again." she said, looking at the massive pile of papers in front of her. She sighed, she missed back when the nations first split, at least that was more interesting than this, now it's almost all taxes and financial reports
Cobraheart and Kleft arrived outside platform 12, and Kleft stopped a moment to marvel the beauty of the station. "Lunar island has nothing like this," He said. "and during the time closing the infinity gate, we had no room for such luxuries." The two climbed on board, and Kleft stopped in shock. Everything was made of red velvet, and gilded on the edges of each chair. There was a bar at the back, and the chairs practically looked like beds. Kleft climbed into a chair and tested it before looking up at Cobraheart with a full ear-to-ear grin. "I could really get used to this!" He said.
(Bit much for a more agricultural society, but I guess excuses can be found) Dark saw a small flash from a window in a house she was passing by, Now what could that have been, she thought. She flew up to the window unseen and saw something that surprised her greatly, her old nemesis, Winter Warmth, was just inside. (Time for a little OC connection time) The only reason that evil stallion was still alive was because of Snow, the two, Dark swore, were more than just friends. She stayed by the window to see what Winter would do to the pony in front of him.
Velvet laughed. "Oh, don't worry, your typing was way too fast for me to had followed. And i have no interest in Celestia's future plans. I don't need to see by your eye to see those things, anyways." She sighed. "My poor little sister. I've went in her room while you left, and came to the conclusion that she had been kidnapped. But who could possibly want to kidnapp her? She has nothing special, there's no prophecies on her, and her existence keeps on going to school, and studying. I don't get it."
"I don't know either, but remember Velvet, what you saw, not even half the military even KNOWS about it, let alone even see it. So don't tell any pony. Now, if some pony was to kidnap your sister, I'm betting they would want some kind of random for her." Winter said.
"I promise not to tell anypony, except those you'll ask me to. And even if i can see parts of future, i don't see anything for my dear sister. If the ones who took her want something from her, maybe it was... Her life..."
"We can't say for sure. We don't even know if she was even taken in the first place! I mean, your house doesn't look like there was any struggle in it." Winter said, his gaze drifting to the window, where he saw a black shape. His eyes got wide as he quickly recognized the object, "Velvet, come with me!" he yelled, grabbing Velvet by the hoof and dragging her out of sight. He pulled a pistol from his hoof pocket and floated it out in front of him, "Stay right there." he said. He rounded the couch and looked at the window, but nothing was there. He turned with a sigh of relief right into the face of Dark, who promptly socked him the snout. "Run Velvet!" he yelled trying to get up, only to be tackled by Dark and was proceded to be beat up on under a fury of blows, while Dark yelled things like, "I'm going to kill you! Backstabbing scum!" etc.
Velvet tackled Dark, thenran around in her shop, laughing. Here and there, lights emaned from several objects. A background voice was singing a childish song, while the windows closed one by one, and the candles all light up at the same second. "Come on, Winter, Get up! This is so fun, Weeee!"
Dark picked herself up, then grabbed Winter by the neck, ignoring the voices, "I'll send me regards to Snow!" she yelled amin his face. She then threw him out the window, but before he hit the ground, Dark grabbed him and began flying straight up, "Dark! I don't want to fight you!" he yelled over the wind. "Good! That makes my job so much easier!" she yelled back. Winter wracked his skull for something that might calm her down then suddenly remembered a letter he got from his sweetheart Snow. "Dark! Snow's going to be a mother!"he yelled. That grabbed her attention and she stopped flying up, with Canterlot far below, "What?!" she exclaimed, "That means…". "Yes Dark, I'm the father!" he exclaimed, it was the first time he had told any pony else, so it might as well be Dark, "She's only a month or two in so it's not noticeable but she is goin to have a baby!" Dark's heart soften for a moment before growling down to Winter, "I'll let you live, for the sake of Snow and the baby, but one false move, and your dead! You got that?" she said, bringing him in close. "Yes." he said, visibly frightened. "Good." Dark said. She dived back down and tossed him, not very gently back into the room, which was all kinds of messed up from the scuffle. Winter picked himself up and dusted off, "Sorry 'bout that Velv, now, where were we with your sister?"
"this ride is probably going to take around 5 hours kleft, better get settled and such want some apple family cider. It seems the apple family were the only ponyville ponies to join our glorious nation."
(Ponyville doesn't exist ) Kleft thought a moment, then shook his head. "No, thanks" he said. "I'm undergoing a bit of culture shock right now, I think I'll just get some sleep." He lay down on one of the chairs and closed his eyes, thinking about what Luna might say when they arrive at the capital.
Velvet had ran outside when Dark took Winter. Her eyes were now in a weird shade of red, mixed with purple."A-Are you okay? Can you now explain me all of your familly problems, before we go to mines? If i'm worried about Velvet, it's just because she won't be able to find her way back home. I could bet nine hundred bids she's 100% right. But you, on the other hoof, seem to have a lot o worry about. And i won't take the help from a pony who won't even be able to think. Now, tell me everything."
Winter sighed, "Alright, let's see here. I am a spy for Celestia, have made plenty of enemies and friends over the years, Dark, the pony that just attacked me, hates me for what I did on one mission to the Storms Nation, I'm her 'sister's' husband to be, and I'm wanted in just about ever nation except this one, which even then I doubt sometimes."
Velvet eyes returned to their crimson color. She had a sad smile. "So now, you've got nowhere to run, except that hidden room under the throne, and there's plenty of people out there who wants to see your blood. Great." She sighed. "I think i have the right solution for both of us. We could go back in time, and kill younger Winter before you make yourself enemies. Then, when everypony will have forgotten you, you'll go back to the princess and Snow and have a nice life. With no more enemies, and your wife, you could even take back your job as a spy. And i could see what happened to my sister at the same time. Isn't it a good idea~?"
"Yes, but I would die myself, then how would I be able to kill my younger self? You gotta remember, paradoxes." Winter said, "I'm sure it will all blow over eventually."
"Oh, come on, don't you tell me about those paradoxes. Still, you're right, we better not to play with this tough. But we could try on some useless pony anyways~! It looks pretty fun! ... But anyways, the question is how are we going to get rid of your enemies? I can surely experience something... We can mold your appearance, and make you look like somepony else~! And grow you a beard~!"
"I can take care of myself. I didn't truly fight Dark because, well, why would I want to fight my future sister-in-law? Trust me, I'll be fine as long as we stay inside the Solar nation." Winter said, hoping to calm Velvet down.
