    I thought so. I could tell by some of the commas and having seen many a relevance in my time. :derpe:

    So, today;
    Two things relevant to this Thread.
    Both at school.

    1.
    Posters.
    They did it right.
    In any case,
    That struck me as something well phrased.

    2.
    The TDSB had a survey.
    For its students.
    For the most part, it was what you'd expect;
    School Environment, Teacher performance and the like.
    Then there were some more odd questions,
    About your ethnicity, religious background, etc.
    Then there was question 9.

    9. What sexual orientation do you consider yourself: (Fill all that apply.)
    O Heterosexual (Straight) O Gay O Queer O Two-Spirited O Not Sure
    O Transgender O Bisexual O Questioning O Intersex

    Though the survey is anonymous and is - along with every question on it - optional;
    TDSB, What are you thinking here?

    That poster is very true. As for the survey, no idea why they'd ask that. For a census maybe? I know some schools consider it an "emotional health hazard".

    On a side note, this makes me sad:

    What is the difference between gay and queer?

    Regarding the poster, we all know that no matter your priorities, but the ability to give love

    Queer means three things. One, an offensive slur towards gays, two, something some gays prefer to be called, and three, those that fall under "other". Not gay, straight, bisexual, pansexual, just... other.

    I like to think this entire thread is educational. Both to the close-minded, and the open-minded. Everyone posting the natural struggles with alternative preferences and people supporting them with practical world views and acceptance. :)

    It's definitely been a great thread so far. If anyone has any questions about the LGBTQ community or anything about sexual orientation, feel free to ask. I'm positive you'll learn something.

    Queer, when applied to sexuality, is generally a person's way of saying "I'm not straight and lets leave it at that." That's been my experience, at least.

    Of course, the really close-minded wouldn't be reading this thread - or watching ponies, most likely.

    This for some odd reason is very interesting to me.

    I joke around with my friends sometimes and call them gay, They DO know that I am joking, but one of them says back to me, "I'm not gay I have a girlfriend, unlike you." this gets my response of, "So what, that doesn't really mean anything." and I do realize this may have nothing to do with this thread just kind of throwing it out there.

    But whenever someone says queer to another person, I always wonder if they actually know what that word means. Because people have a tendency of saying things that they do not know the meaning of.

    A better response might be "Your hand isn't a girlfriend," or some similar zinger.

    And, yes, I risk going off topic here a bit, but you did remind me of when I was younger, and used the word "dildo" without knowing what it was. My step-mother was not appreciative when I used it at the dinner table. So I decided to find out what it was, and, hoo boy-!

    I honestly never understood why gay is an insult. In fact, I take it as a compliment at this point. "You're so gay!" "Why, yes, glad you noticed!"

    Saying "homosexual" all the time is a little cumbersome, though.

    I find I use the term "gay" to describe homosexuals of both genders as well as just men. How confusing I must be. And yet, when some one else uses "gay" in an obviously derogatory manner, I can't help of the older meaning - happy and cheerful.

    Words are weird, aren't they?

    Hey... So...
    I've gotta ask something. See I've always believed myself to be Hetrosexual, but for a couple of years now, I've been having thoughts pop into my head. Often, just randomly. I'd just push these thoughts out of my head, and ignore them, But sometimes they just kept coming back. I put it down to growing up at the time, and just went on with life, y'know. But the other day, I had a particularly strange gay thought. It was strange because I didn't want to fight it...

    I've never really been in love with a guy, but I'm starting to wonder... could I be...? do you think these thought are just natural to any one guy or do you think, maybe its that I'm Bi?
