Rosy took a muffin, murmuring a quiet thank you. "Well, they already know, but my name is Rosy. Pleased to meet you." she said. She shook her head almost in disbelief. "This is crazy. I mean, I grew up with stories about you guys. My.. friend dreamed of living in Canterlot so he could join the Royal Guard."
"What do you mean?" asked Rosy, who was unfamiliar with the idea of ever having said anything "really good".
"About your friend that wanted to be part of the royal guards." Luna said. "Is quite interesting he wants to be one."
"Yeah." she said, her ears low. "I suppose. I think he's pretty rooted in his career now, but maybe he still can do it."
Luna nodded. "I'm oretty sure he will..." she then noticed how was she. "You miss him?" She asked her.
"Ah the Royal Guards, yes. They've done a really good job of protecting Canterlot lately." Discord said dryly; the Royal Guards and he were not on good terms.
"No. Not really." she said, a little startled. She wasn't used to being open, and this was obvious. She took a bite from her muffin, and chewed in order to try to talk about something else. "This is really good!" she said to Discord.
(Okay Usagi's been upstairs to long. I sent a PM to Quill saying that Usagi's interactions will have to be set in the past. But what's a good way for me to bring Usagi in now? Have her just finish with Starshimmer or she finsihed and did something else till now?) Lio returned to the group after getting now answer from Azure. "It's kind of funny that you'd choose Horsehead Bay, your highness. You may not know this because the town is a bit out of the way, but the residents are among your biggest fans. There's even a statue of you in the center of the town."
"Really?" Luna said a bit surprised by that. "Thats actually amazing." Luna said after hearing that. Darky chuckled. "But you know who is your number 1 fan." Darky said nuzzling her. "Of course dear." She replied nuzzling him back. That just looked adorable.
(I would have her just finish. I mean, there's no limit to how long the conversation could have been.)
"Yes well the town is home to not just Earth Ponies and Pegisi, but Sea Ponies as well. As you know the Moon and the Sea are intertwined so the residents have always held you in the highest regard. Your sister not so much, when you were exiled to the moon the Sea Ponies cut off their ties to the surface and only recently returned when you did. The towns people feel your sister should have found a better way." Usagi came hopping down the steps. Having just finished with Star Shimmer. "Muffins!"
"I say the same..." Luna said trying not to remember that. Darky hugged her to make her feel better and forget that. "Anyways, I think I should go to the town later." Luna said after a moment.
Rosy's attention was immediately taken by the small filly running down the stairway. "Muffins, indeed." she said, smiling.
"Oh, well, I try." Said Discord, in response to Rosy's compliment. "Ah, but here comes the true muffin critic," he announced, upon seeing Usagi descending the stairs. " I was going to bake these with your guidance; to see if I could better Pinkie's, but I got fed up waiting." "Have you met Rosy?" he added, placing his arm around said Unicorn's neck.
"Ooh! Won't that be cool! All her fans would get to see their idol." "Yes but...." Maybe he was worrying too much. What would be the harm in the townsfolk meeting the pony they admire. At the same time... what if unknowingly the townsfolk had a hand in her becoming Nightmare Moon in the first place. According to the Librarian, they too were resentful of other ponies favoring Celestia over Luna. Could their beliefes have fed into Luna? He didn't pretend to understand how the magic of this world worked, but.... "The town is really cool. there are seahorses floating on bubbles and the Librarian is a real ghost! Not like Dave." The blue maned filly really liked the ghostly Unicorn. She had all sorts of interesting books that she could read without her mommy's help. Then Usagi heard Discords introduction. "Hi Rosy? Are you Fluttershy's sister? It be cool if Fluttershy had a Unicorn sister. My sisters a Unicorn sometimes. "
"It might be interesting to go and take a look." Luna said. That thing of a ghost running down a library was really interesting. Darky looked at Lio and he looked like he was thinking something. "Anything wrong?" He asked Lio.
"I'm not Miss Fluttershy's sister. I sure wish I was, though. She's super cool." said Rosy, nodding her head. "She's only a unicorn sometimes?" she asked, as the words came to rest in her head. "I mean, I've wished before I could be a pegasus, but all the wishing in the world hasn't made me so."
