"Well I did build the Glass House to meet interesting people, but things have gotten far more interesting than I expected. A Crystal Pony still crystal outside of her kingdom. A 'reformed' avatar of Chaos, A princess, and a Windigo. I expected a few scholars curious about the town, and some ponies who just wanted to get away form their current life. Heck I expected the house would be mostly empty. Just goes to show things can be quite surprising." He had chosen Horsehead bay for the houses location because it wasn't on any of the maps at Princess Twilight's library. Of course given the events that happened afterwards her new home might contain a map with the town on it. Still it was civilization largely unknown to the larger population of Equestria. (Lio and Usagi visited Ponyville sometime after Daring Do, but before Cheese Sandwich showed up.)
"You weren't that far off, regarding somepony wishing to get away from their life," said Frozen, "I am rather weary of the road. I've been from one corner of Equestria to the other; from Saddle Arabia to Chineigh i've been wandering for hundreds of years. Some rest from the road would be nice."
"Well, having spent most of the last 1000 years in the exact same place, rest isn't high on my list of priorities right now." Discord stroked his goatee, "I think my favourite thing about this place is it's distance from our esteemed Celestial leader."
"Even though Celestia is note here, me and my husband are still here." Luna said chuckling a little. "Still, I understand you, I sometimes want to get away form my sister."
"I was born in Vanhoover, and I grew up there, but I had to leave. It.. was not a good situation there." said Rosy, a bit uneasily. Her hair fell over her eyes as her eyebrows furrowed.
"Ah Vanhoover was such a beautiful city. I was there when they first colonized it all those years ago. I return now and then to visit one of my close contacts." "I am sorry, however, " he said, "If it is any consolation, I was forced to leave my home as well."
"It's all right." she said, brightly. "At least I had a choice. That sounds terrible, being forced away."
Rosy's eyes widened. "Wow. Do you regret it?" she asked curiously. She shook her head. "Sorry. That was nosy."
"You are not the only.one that once a prince." Luna said looking to Darky. "You know I don't like to talk about it." Darky said. "But I don't regret my decision."
"I've always believed one should stand on principle," he said,"The Windigos would not accept a king who does not relish in the nature of being a windigo. Windigos are very tradition oriented, and they resist change." Frozen looked at Darky, "Perhaps we are not so different, you and I?"
"Looks like it." Darky said with a small smile. Luna was starting to get used to the windigo, not that much, but it was something. Perhaps he wasn't as bad as she first thought.
"I must confess, it feels rather relieving talking about all of this. For years I had feared you or your sister would put me to death if the truth about my nature came to light. Yet, here I am in the same room with you having a casual conversation. It's strange really."
"I feel the same." Luna said calmly. "I'm rather surprised by that." "I wonder how would Tia react to all this." Darky said chuckling.
"I don't know why they would sentence you to death, though. I mean, killing you just for what you are?" said Rosy. (What time is it, would you guys say? In RP world?)
(Noonish?) "Because I am dangerous," he said, "and because of what my people did to yours so long ago."
Rosy shrugged. "Well, I believe we all have the capacity to be dangerous. However, we decide what to do with that potential. We fight it, and, if we are good enough, we use it to make a positive difference instead." She bit her lip in thought. "As to what your people did, I think that is an even lesser reason for punishment. I knew someone who was an earth pony, and our relationship was not a good one. However, I don't dislike other earth ponies for the same reason."
(Not that I'm setting my clock on Luna, but I think it's late afternoon now. soon to be early evening. It was about noonish when everyone went to the kitchen, about an hour passed before the two of you showed up. and I think another hour to a half an our passed till Luna woke up.) "If things should be eradicated simply because they were dangerous then both the Unicorns and Alicorns should have been long extinct. As Rosy said all have to potential to stir up trouble, to just eradicate an entire race just upon their past. You're no less a monster than you believe them to be." While he himself had nothing against unicorns, maybe he was voicing the towns perspective a bit too much. "Right I know this may seem a bit odd, but Frozen should you go to town, maybe it be better if you do it in you natural form. Believe it or not your less likely to be judged that way." "They stare at Unicorns a lot, and they really don't like the bearded one." Usagi thought about the time she brought her sister to town. The pony's didn't do anything mean to Kimi, but they glared at her a lot. Even the few Unicorns in town gave nasty looks to her big sister.
Discord broke out in a cacophony of laughter, doubling over from the effort. When he had calmed some, he wiped a tear from his eye, "Oh, it sounds like the start to some bad joke! 'A Princess, a Windigo and a Draconequus walk into town...' Priceless!" "I highly doubt Celestia would kill you though, Frozen; she prefers to banish or freeze her problems." He said, looking over at the Windigo. "Not sure if that's much of a consolation, however..."
