Down in the basement lab Kimitsu giggled. One slight oversight on her father's part was the sound proof nature of the doors meant that the people inside wouldn't hear people outside knocking. She fixed this by placing speaker in all the room that triggers when the door was knocked upon. The resinece of the room should prevent the residents from knowing that the knocking isn't actually coming from the door. Seeing Frozen Heart open the door for Darkness Knight showed that her fix worked. [I completely goofed by not thinking of that... ^^;]
Rosy relaxed visibly when she saw that it was Princess Luna approaching. "Oh, your highness. I'm sorry. I didn't think anyone would be out here." she said, biting her lip nervously. "I had to.. take a walk. To clear my head." Rosy said evasively.
"Are you alright?" Luna asked Rosy. "You look nervous, and you also had a nightmare not so long ago." She then said getting a bit closer to her. "You can tell me, I can help you." Darky nodded.after hearing.everything Frozen told to him about the nightmare. "Is that all?" He asked him afyer he finished.
Rosy nodded slightly, to signal that she was alright. "I'm fine.." she said, shrugging. "I'm just... I guess I am a little nervous. It's not a big deal. As for the nightmare, well, I suppose I should be getting used to it by now. It's not like they don't occur often enough."
"But that is not alright at all." Luna said sounding worried about her. "Nightmares are not something you should get used to." She then said evev more worried about that.
"That's all I can remember," Frozen said, "It occurs the same way almost every night. I try not to fall asleep; i am not even sure how i got to bed. The last thing I remember was studying.."
She made a noise that sounded like a laugh, but it was tired. Defeated. "Well, I don't think it's going to change any time soon. It's been happening for almost a few months now. Ever since..." Her eyes looked upwards as she thought, "..about three months ago."
"Lets go back inside, I want to hear that." Luna said. Darky nodded. "I understand." He said shortly after hearing that.
Luna smiled and lead her back into the house, taking her to the living room. "Please, tell me more about your nightmares, I want to see what can I do without going to the dreamscape." Luna said once inside
With the door open, Frozen heard the sound of Luna entering the adjacent living room. "It would seem I am not the only pony suffering from nightmares tonight." He rose from his chair, "Should we join them in the living room?"
Frozen followed Darky out of the room, shutting the door behind them. As they came closer to the living room, the sound of Luna and Rosy talking grew louder. As they entered, he wondered what Rosy's nightmare had been about.
From her place in the lab Kimitsu frowned. It seemed like everyone was meeting up in the living room. She didn't know what was going on, but she assumed it was something that probably should be private to happening at this time of night. If they were in a bedroom privacy would be complete, but by meeting in the living room, her father could monitor things. Even if he was recharging right now he'd still be able to access the recordings when he finished. She could go upstairs to warn them, but then she'd be intruding herself.
"I.." said Rosy, a look of slight anguish on her face. "Well, it generally starts the same. Uhm.." She looked up nervously as Frozen and Darky entered.
Discord awoke suddenly, still in his Pegasi form, with a fierce desire for chocolate milk; deciding against summoning a cloud inside his room, he elected instead to head down to the kitchen to see if his thirst could be quenched there. He flew from his bed to his door, then trotted downstairs to the kitchen, whistling the tune to Winter Wrap Up to himself softly. Once in the kitchen, the search proper began; he found plain milk in the fridge, a glass in one of the cupboards, and the magic required to turn plain to chocolate within himself. Now that he had the milk, he faced the difficult task of carrying it; in his usual form he could simply hold it with a claw, paw, or magic, but he was practising being a Pegasus for disguise purposes, so those options were out. After some experimentation, he discovered he could hold the glass between his front hooves, and then rear up to walk on his hind legs. This made seeing where he was going difficult, but he decided to go with it. Leaving the kitchen, he was startled by the appearance of Darky and Frozen making their way into the sitting room; he hadn't expected to see anyone walking around this time of night. "Gah!" He lost his balance, fell over, and dropped his milk.
"Oh, hi dear." Luna said smiling, then noticed Discorband giggled a little after seeing him fall like that. Darky looked at him also, yet he reacted quickly enough and managed to save his milk, then laughed a bit and finally turned to Luna. "Hi dear." He said to her. "Good night Rosy." He said to her.
Rosy covered her mouth quickly as she laughed. "Good night, Darky." she responded when she had thoroughly recovered. "What is everyone doing here?"
"Well, you are not the only one with nightmares." Luna said. "Frozen wanted to speak with Luna about his dream to figure out what it ment." Darky said. He left Discord's glass of milk in the table and sat just beside his wife.
"Ow." Discord rolled back onto his hooves and stood up, blushing a little. Noticing his milk had been saved, his face brightened slightly, and he walked over to the table in the sitting room where it had been placed. He frowned at the glass for a second, before a lightbulb appeared over his head, "Ah ha!" He stomped his hoof to summon a silly straw for the milk, and then looked at the others who had gathered in the room. "Discussing nightmares, are we?" he inquired of the group, before sipping his milk.
