She took Frozen's hoof and stood up, ducking her head a little in embarrassment. "Thank you." she said, and pulled her cloak closer around herself.
Shadow had been travelling far and wide for a few years now and was now looking for somewhere he could settle down for a while. In the last town he had stopped at, he had seen an advertisement for a place called 'The Glass House' and was intrigued to see what it was all about. It took him sometime to find the place and was revealed when it came within his sights as he couldn't remember the last time he had slept in a bed. As he reached the place, he noticed three ponies that seemed to be discussing something and looked as if they were preparing to leave. Shadow walked into the lobby area of the building. "Cozy." He mumbled seeing as no-one, besides the other three ponies whom he wasn't going to bother, was in his immediate view. However, as he did look over to his right through his mane, he did see someone in what he guessed to be a lounge room. A filly to be precise. "Hello?" He called out to her.
"You are welcome," Frozen said as they walked out of the room. As they exited the building, he took note of a newcomer to the house. He paid him no mind, however, as he was certain their host would help him shortly.
As they began to walk, Rosy was deep in thought. She spoke up after a minute, or two. "Did your nightmares leave when you went to bed the second time last night?" she asked curiously.
Usagi got up from the table and looked at the new comer. Then she wondered why the door was left open for the person to just come in. Mommy made a big deal about sec... keeping stuff safe. "Do you want to live here?"
Shadow nodded at the young child. "Yes, I came across this advertisement and since I've been on the road for quite a while, I figured it would be a good place to rest my hooves."
"Okay, what room do you want? Oh and just a warning you're not allow to pick on Mr. Frozen Heart and Mr. Discord just cause they're not ponies. Mommy welcomes anyone who wants to live here as long as they're not mean to the other people who want to live here."
"Yes," he said, "thankfully. Speaking of which, did her majesty ever properly address yours? I know I..kind of stole the spotlight unintentionally. I apologize for that.."
"Ok, the warning is noted and I would like room 1 please." Shadow wasn't here to cause trouble, although he had no idea who the Frozen Heart the child was talking of, but he did recognise the name Discord, and not sure if he should saying anything, he kept his thoughts to himself, seeing as last he heard, Discord was still encased in stone.
Discord looked curiously at the new arrival as they left the house; she was going to greet him, but she supposed there would be plenty of time for that upon their return. Trotting alongside Frozen and Rosy, she decided to try flying; her normal body had wings, but they were more for show, and she tended to just levitate when she didn't want to walk, so it would be a new experience. Managing to take off, Discord exclaimed triumphantly as she managed a few wobbly yards of flight. Her expression changed from joy to dread as she dropped from the sky and landed on what appeared to be some carelessly placed rope. As Discord sat on her haunches, shaking her head, the rope tightened around one of her back hooves, and yanked her up several feet into the sky. "Gaaah!" She exclaimed, hanging there, looking confused. (Seeing as Discord has taken the form of a mare, I thought I'd swap to feminine pronouns until he changes back)
Usagi took out the key for room one and handed it to the boy pony. Then she remembered what happened to her mommy and another warning came to mind. "Careful hugging Mr. Discord you could end up a girl." After giving her second warning she went back to the pancakes.
"Thank you for that other...warning...and the key." Shadow said as he headed to his room albeit somewhat confused. He was sure things might be cleared up after a few hours of sleep, which is exactly what he did, his tired mind wanting nothing else.
Darky and Luna had already left the house and were on their way tot he town. They heard the coment that there werr traps along the way and there were careful as they walked. Still, they never noticed that there was a new pony in the house.
"I believe that might be one of the traps," Frozen said, as they drew nearer to discord. He floated up to the limb of an adjacent tree and, with his magic, froze the rope until it crumbled and fell apart.
Once free, Discord fell and landed on her head. "Ow! I wish you'd told me you were going to do that," She said somewhat crossly, and rubbing her head. "I think I've lost a tooth!" she lamented, prodding at her single fang with a hoof.
Darky and Luna arrived to the town before them and staryed walking around. They managed to avoid the traps. "That was an interesting road." Darky said to Luna "Indeed it was." She replieda s they walked.
Rosy's horn glowed as she produced a mirror from thin air. "Your teeth look fine to me." she said, trying to be helpful. "About the nightmares, the Princess didn't address it, but that's okay. I was hesitant to share, anyway."
"Only my pride," Discord replied, pressing her hoof to her chest and looking exaggeratedly hurt. "Thank you for your help. I think I'll stick to walking from now on... Oh, and er, sorry if I interrupted your conversation. " (The tooth thing was a joke, what with him only having the one fang? Obviously not a very good one )
(No, I know. I had a chuckle. I thought you were saying that Discord thought that she looked any different from before, though, and she didn't realize it was a joke. Sorry!) Rosy shook her head. "Don't be. It's not your fault you fell into a trap." She thought about it for a moment, and then shrugged. "it was bound to happen to one of us at some point, and there's a chance we might fall into another one soon."
