Oliver began to sprint away, clinging to his injured leg as he ran. "O-Ow! This h-hurts!" he murmured.
Standford opened his arms, basking in the light and heat of the fire. He looked back to see Oliver hurrying away. "Oliver, where are you going? This fire is quite rejuvenating."
The earth began to violently shake, as several skeletal warriors rose clawed their way out of the dirt. They were dressed in clean, red armor. They moved quickly, faster than the average soldier, and were just as strong. Some carried bows, some axes, spears, and even swords.
Stanford lowered his arms and looked over at the skeletal warriors. "Well, heh, this quite a jump of events." He chuckled as he drew his sword and rushed at skeletal warriors, slashing at them forcefully.
Oliver groaned. "C-Can someone toss over a p-p-potion, maybe...? I'm g-gonna cower in cover wh-while I heal..." he mumbled, still running.
Nobby must have been a little slow in arriving to the previous battles, him slowly walking into the fight using his walking stick as a severe aid! "O' ye' young people, moving too quick!" When he deemed he was close enough he promptly sad down, and began the arduous process of loading his crossbow, aiming and finally firing at one of the skeletal warriors...
Steam of flame turned a skeletal into dust. Aeria smiled. "Weak magic" she thought "but where is the sorce of it..." She scooped up the dust from a fallen skeleton transforming it into one of her crystals. "Show me" she commanded. Crystal started to spin pointing to group of bandits standing behind the battle. Ater a moment crystal swiftly slided in that direction. A surprised yelp came from there. For a few seconds skeletons were stunned but then continued to fight. "Liste up guys we need to... Argh...." Aeria screamed as an arrow hit her leg. She fall down or her knee.
Oliver sighed, and rushed into battle, only to be swatted down by a large skeletal brute's club. It roared, then charged at Aeria.
Aeria tore her eyes from leg and looked at battlefield. She looked at Oliver running to her. "You dared to think that I will use my only healing crystal for YOU?", Aeria shouted angry. "It will not work like you want it anyway! It can only stop your bleading and maybe supress some pain." "We are loosing it anyway..." she thought, "...then what's the difference..." Aeria pluged her healing crystal to her armlet, sadly looked at her leg and pointed her hand at Oliver. Light channels through her hand and healed Oliver a little bit. Another crystal turned to the dust. Aeria feld on ground weakened.
"D-Damn!" Oliver cried out, rushing to block the colossus' club. "Y-You need to run! I-I can't hold for much longer..." he mumbled, holding the giant's club up with his puny shortsword.
Nobby groaned, shooting skeletal warriors with a crossbow was quite noneffective, every now and then he might get a lucky shot that would destroy a bone or two but that was hardly enough. At a glance he saw one of the strapping lads trying to hold his own against one... Oliver was his name? Either way, he took a shot at the skeleton!
Oliver was finally over powered. With his last bit of strength, he pushed Aeria out of the way. The bony barbarian wandered ahead, stepping over Oliver as it walked away. A group of skeletal archers circled Nobby, each one cackling with glee.
Stanford ripped one of the bones from a downed skeleton and chucked at the group surrendering Nobby. He quickly charged at them, cutting the joints of the skeleton warriors to separate the limps from the bodies.
Selene turned frantically.. "Aeria, Oliver! Get somewhere safe! We'll hold them off." she said as she shot three arrows simultaneously. A arrow plunged into her calf, and another in her belly. With a slight groan, she fired arrow after arrow, but began to grow weaker. A brute came up behind her, and with an angry growl, she leaped in the air over the brutes head, grabbed his sword off his back, and sliced the brute cleanly in half. She stumbled, clutched her stomach, and fell as the blood pumped from her waist.
Standford whipped around and saw the wounded Selene. He sprinted over and shielded her, taking an arrow to the shoulder but not letting his smile fade. He picked her up with his good arm and carried her away a little bit away from the fray. "Nobby, get Oliver and Aeria to safety!"
Oliver groaned and nodded, crawling away to a large rock. From there, he hurled small stones with his one good arm. Soon enough, the battle was nearly over, except for two brutes, and a horseman, riding a black steed. The horseman wielded a pair of twin broadswords, and was roaring in fury. He charged.
With a groan, Selene moved weakly, gripping the shaft of the bolt in her stomach. "I'm... fine..." she rasped, loading her bow slowly, and shooting it. It hit the horse in the forehead, and it slumped down.
Nobby was slow again, pretty much flopping for cover as he crawled to cover, trying to get away from threats, "Get who to safety!? I ain't safe enough myself!" Be though managed to drag his walking stick and crossbow with him, firing a few shots at the brutes and in an attempt to also hit anything that was even nearly a threat to that bony Oliver kid and Aeria.
"S-Selene!" Oliver cried out. "C-Can somebody maybe grab her? She l-l-looks she's gonna bleed out!" he said.
Nobby grunted before dropping his crossbow and hobbling out, walking stick in hand, "Are you still alive lass?!" He called out to Selene, making his eventual way towards her! If he has to, he'd drag her if needed, but he was probably going to take a while to do that!
