Eris beamed and purred with joy as she felt his wings envelope her. Even there, in that dungeon, she felt happy and safe as she snuggled with Thunder, and after a little while, she fell asleep too.
The next morning, Luna went to wake them up. "Come with me." She said as she oppened the cell door. "Celestia has decided." She said aa she lead them to the court yard.
Eris walked close to Thunder, occasionally rubbing her eyes sleepily, or yawning. She knew she should be worried about what Celestia was going to say, but with Thunder by her side, she found it hard to worry about anything. After walking for a few more minutes, they were brought to a halt in front of the Princess...
Celestia looked down to them as Luna just moved to a side and walked to Tia's side. "I had decided the punishment of both." She said with her eyes closed. "Thunder will be held captive in a special prisión until I decide I can free him." She started saying, then opened her eyes. "Eris will be executed. They will be held in an hour each." Tia said. Thunder's eyes widened as Tia said that. Execute... Eris?! No way! He was so shocked he couldn't speak.
Eris didn't know how to feel, or what to say; the idea of her own death didn't fill her with the same kind of awful terror that the idea of Thunder's death had... But she didn't want to die, and she didn't want Thunder to be sad without her. She knew, however, that arguing with Celestia was pointless, so she simply sat down and held Thunder instead, burying her face in his mane.
Thunder remained silent and just hugged Eris. "Both prisoners must get ready for their punishment. Guards." Tia said, then some guards went with them and separate them to take them to their respective areas. "ERIS!!!" Thunder yelled as he was taken away, tears coming down his eyes.
Eris smiled sadly, and mouthed 'I love you' just before Thunder disappeared from sight. She didn't resist as she was lead away. None of it quite felt real, as if she was trapped in some horrible dream...
"ERIS!!!" Thunder said again as he was taken away and the doors closed. The last thing Eris could see was his desperate face as he tried to reach her, lots of tears rolling trough his eyes. As that happened, the guards took Eris into the gardens, where the execution was getting ready. It was going to be a swift blow in her neck with an axe the one that was going to do the job. Meanwhile, Thunder was being taken to the basement of the castle
She hadn't really noticed it when she was with Thunder, but Eris had been feeling nauseous all morning. Now that she was away form his comforting presence, and facing her imminent death, she couldn't hold it back any longer. She dropped to her knees and retched, bringing up the meal she and Thunder had eaten the night before. She continued throwing up until her stomach was empty, then struggled to stand back up again, receiving no help from anypony. "Sorry," She mumbled dully to the guard next to her, "I don't know why..."
The guard just gave a step away in disgust. "Whatever..." he said as he levitated her with some magic and carried on. He let her on the side as a pony walked to her and cleaned her. As that happened, Luna walked there, once Eris was clean. "I'm sorry." She said as she sighed a bit. "I don't know what else to say to my sister." She said. "What I can do is give you a pleasant dream before you die." She said.
"Yeah," Eris said, nodding despondently, "Sounds nice. Thank you." At least maybe I'll be able to see Thunder happy, one last time, she thought, as she closed her eyes and hung her head, tears rolling down her cheeks as she waited for Luna to do what she was going to do.
Luna closed her eyes and her horn glowed, then went into her dreams. She gave her a nice cute dream of Eris and Thunder spending time on a small waterfal. She smiled, but then noticed something. A small Alicorn/draconequus pony walked into view. She didn't made it, that she remembered... unless... She exited the dreamscape and turned around, then hurried to see Tia, letting Eris in her dream.
Eris enjoyed the familiarity of the dream, remembering the feeling of her heart swelling with joy as Thunder played with the little Aliconequus with the white hair and the mismatched eyes... The dream was bitter-sweet though, as she knew it was but a shadow of a future they would now never know. She turned away, sobbing, not wanting to see any more. It was too painful.
When she turned around, luna was no longer there. After a few minutes, the dream ended out of nowhere. When Eris opened her eyes, she could see Luna, Celestia, a nurse mare with a little device. "Looks like princess Luna is right..." the mare said as she pull the little thing from between Eris' legs. "She is pregnant..." She said. Tia remained silent, closing her eyes. "You can't kill somepony who will have a foal! You will also kill it! Do you want to murder an innocent foal?!" Luna said to Celestia. Tia still remained silent.
"Hey!" Eris complained, glaring at the nurse mare fiddling about between her legs. What was she; some kind of pervert? Wait... what did she just say? Pregnant!? "I-I am?" Eris stammered, a look of joy spreading across her face; it was possible after all! She and Thunder were going to have a beautiful little foal! "Oh thankyouthankyouthankyou!" She cried, grabbing the nurse pony and hugging her tightly, "This is wonderful news! I can wait to tell Thun-der...." She let go of the mare, as she remembered where she was and what was about to happen... "Please... y-you can't... not now..." She pleaded, terrified now that the life of her and Thunder's child was also at risk. She looked at Celestia, horrified. "Surely even you wouldn't..." She trailed off, not able even to say it.
"No... I cant..." Tia said as he turned around. "I cant do it. You will be set free. But exiled from equestria and will never come back." Tia said as she walked away to the basement for the next thing she had to do. Luna sat with Eris and hugged her. "I'm so happy for you." She said smiling.
Eris sat hugging Luna for a moment, too shocked to speak. "But... Thunder..." She managed to say finally, "What about Thunder?"
"He... since his punishment will bot kill him he has to go trough it. I will tell him youbare pregnant, but I recomend you to leave. I might be hard for you to see this..." Luna said to Eris as she sat beside her
"What is she going to do to him?!" Eris asked, worried the way Luna was talking. "I-I should be the one to tell him this news..." She added, sad and confused, as she rubbed her belly, distractedly.
"He is going to be imprisioned in a crystal cell for an indefinite amount if time. " Luna explained sighing. "And I doubt Tia will let you see him." She added. "It will be held in a secret chamber, but I dont know the way in."
