Eris chuckled as she stepped out of the bathroom a few hours later, feeling very... satisfied. She sat on the bed and started towel drying her hair.
Thunder was still in the bath tube, amazed by what they just did. After a short while, he also exited the bathroom to dry himself up before going with Eris.
"Hehehe~ Good bath?" She asked, again feigning innocence as she sat on the bed, playing with her hair.
Thunder blushed a bit, but he then smiled and sat by her side, nuzzling her a bit. "Best I had in a really long time." He said smiling
"Really long time?" Wrong answer. She pulled a face and stood up. "I see. Well perhaps in another 'really long time', we can have another." She wrapped her towel around her head and headed downstairs to the kitchen. She may have overreacted, but she felt hurt. Best he'd had in a really long time? Not the best he'd had ever? She took that to mean he'd been with someone else in the past, and judged them to be better than her. She was angry, but mostly that was to cover how upset she felt. She headed into the kitchen and started making a pot of tea.
Thunder ears perked down. Crap! He had screwed it! He moved his head down and sat on the bed. "I'm sorry dear... I'm sorry..." he said to himself. Celestia did it with him once when she felt lonely, but... no. She didn't compered to Eris at all. He then exited the room and went around to look for Eris. "Eris!" He said, then rushed to hug her. "I'm sorry dear. I'm so sorry." He said, clearly affected by what just happened. He didn't wanted to have her angry at him, that would be the worst thing ever for him. "Please, don't be angry at me. Please..." he was even more sad as he said that,
Eris glared at him. She still loved him, of course she did; but she was angry none the less. "I'm not angry." She said, through clenched teeth. Outside, dark clouds had gathered and thunder was rumbling ominously. Rain started lashing against the windows. "Why would I be angry? I give myself to you, and your response is to tell me I'm almost as good as some harpy you were with once? WHY WOULD THAT MAKE ME ANGRY!?" She screamed, and then ran to the balcony, slamming the door behind her.
Thunder looked at her as she said all that. His eyes got tears after a moment, but... he sighed. He let her go and decided to let her alone for now. He then went outside the house and sat below the window that should lead to her room. He looked at it, then turned around and saw the clouds. He then just stared at them, his ears down. Perhaps when she calms down, he can go with her again. He needed to make things right.
Eris stood on the balcony for a while, sobbing, but when Thunder did't follow her, she teleported away, angry and looking to make some trouble. She headed for the portal...
After a short while, ge decided to go to the room to see if he could speak with her. "Eris..." he knocked the door. No anwers. "Eris..." he knocked again... nothing. He walled in and saw the room empty. Where did she go? Wait... what if... what if she is heading for the portal. Crap! He then tried to rush the portal, flying at max speed to see if he could catch up before she went trough. He saw her figure from afar. "ERIS!!!" He yelled to her. "DON'T GO!!!"
Eris heard the shout and saw Thunder flying towards her. She stopped reluctantly, still glaring at him as the lightening flashed and the rain poured down. Even the forest around the portal had taken on a sinister edge... "Are you trying to tell me what to do now as well?" She demanded. She'd warned him about her dark side, and now he was experiencing it first hoof. She did still care for him though, so she wasn't unleashing her full, Godlike, wrath upon him.
Tears went down his eyes as soon as he catched up with her. "Eris..." he said, even more sad. "Don't go... I..." he was not sure what to say. He then flew up to her and kissed her. "Please, don't leave me." He said. "I made a mistake, everypony do them, just... " he didn't cared if she would or would not bring her full wrath upon him. "... and I'm really ashamed for what I said. Meeting you was the best thing that had ever happened to me." He said as he let her go. "I don't want to see you leave and harm others. This will also harm you. Ponies will try to get you, and.." he started crying. "... I don't know what will I do with out you!" He hugged her, his face against her chest as he sobbed. He hugged her tightly, not letting her go.
Eris' anger died a little as Thunder wept. She still felt sad, but she knew he was telling the truth; she was not yet used to dealing with these emotions, and was naturally unstable anyway. She hugged him back, gently, and the thunder and lightening stopped. It was still raining, but now it was a steady, melancholic, rain, rather than a furious storm. She sighed. "I don't want to hurt you, Thunder, but what you said... after I'd opened up to you like that... I'm not used to these feelings."
Thunder smiled at the hug she gave him. Even though the lightning had stopped, the rain was there. Oerhaps she was now sad. "Me to. I'm not used to this at all. It is thr first time I love someone." He said, gently nuzzling her as he took off the tears from his face. He then turned to her with a sad smile. "I will make sure this never happens again." He burried his face into her chest. "Never." He said. Some more tears came out as he did all thay.
"Okay," She said, stroking his mane. "Let's go home." She teleported them back to the house. "I-I think I just need some time alone," She said, sadly, once they got there. She left Thunder in the sitting room, and walked upstairs to her bedroom, closing the door. She needed to think. It had all happened so fast, but was it even his fault? The more she thought about it, the more it seemed to her that he had done nothing wrong, aside from innocently saying the wrong thing... She curled up on the bed, trying to wrap her head around it all.
Thunder smiled and nodded after Eris said that they were going back home. "Sure dear." He said. Once home, he turned to her as she spoke again. "Alright. I think that is a good idea." He said sadly as he let her go. Once she left, he sat in the sofa, thinking on what just happened and what would had happened if she left. He sighed and went to the study for a book.
After a while, Eris had fallen into a fitful sleep, full of anxiety nightmares about Thunder leaving her, or laughing at her whilst standing with some faceless mare. She tossed and turned, but didn't make any real noise. The sky outside was turning stormy again, but not like before; this was very inconsistent, one minute raining heavily, the next calming to almost nothing.
Thunder noticed the really weird climate, but didn't payed attention. Eris must still have a bad time. Perhaps he can later go with het. In the mean time... Thunder walked into the study and remembered the folded papers on the desk. His curiosity took over and opened them to see it contents.
This is what the first paper said: Project Eris takes over Equestria and brings chaos to all! (Note to self: come up with better name for project.) Things to be done: Open portal to other dimension Place guards on portal Find a way to make portal bigger, or create some kind of staging area in Equestria Gather forces to invade; confetti ducks, sugar scorpions, sheep clouds, ect Capture high ranking pony to gather information Brainwash said pony and send them back as a spy/sleeper agent Invade! Get rid of current ruler Rule over land with fun new subjects to play with! The crossed out things on the list were obviously done, and the colour of the ink suggested they had been crossed off in the last few days. At the bottom of the page, there was a cute little drawing of Eris wearing a crown.
(lol) Thunder read the paper once, and again and again. Why... or what was all this? Plans to invade Equestria?! Capture a high rank pony and... brain wash to be sent as a spy? Wait... did she... did she did this to him? Was all this a lie? He let the papers where they were and went back to he living room and sat down. No! He refused to belive this! But... what if it was true? It was really hard for him.
