Most of the ponies were busy settling into their new houses; rearranging furniture, checking cupboards, testing beds. A few were still looking around outside, pointing out some of the strange sights of Discordia, and a couple were standing around chatting. "This place is weird," One brown mare was saying, "Almost as weird as that alicorn and that... whatever that other thing was that brought us here." "Are you complaining Sandy?" Responded the red stallion she was talking to. "Surely not" His voice was dripping with sarcasm. "Those two that brought us here gave us shelter and asked for nothing in return; I can forgive them a little weirdness. Besides, I actually kind of like it here, it's interesting." Sandy sighed and rolled her eyes. "You're always so easily taken in, Cherry; why haven't they asked us for anything, hmm? Nothing's free in this life my friend, and this won't be either, you mark my words." "Pfft, you're just upset about that phoenix not landing on you..." Cherry said, waving his hoof dismissively. Sandy blushed. "I- that is not true!" She insisted. "You just wait a few weeks, then we'll see what's what!" Cherry shook his head and walked off. "Whatever you say, Sandy..."
Thunder chuckled a bit as he heard them talk. He expected something like that at first. They might still be confused about all this. He then just kept walking, looking for other ponies to hear with Eris.
The other ponies they saw were saying much the same thing, or simply discussing why someone would put a load of dogs in a hot air ballon, so after a few more minutes, Eris tapped Thunder on the shoulder and indicated it was time to go. They walked out of sight of the town once more, then she teleported them home, making them both visible again as they arrived.
Thunder looked to Eris when she touched his shoulder and nodded, then followed her out of town. Back at home, he smiled and nuzzled her a bit. "Well, that was sort of what I expected so far." He said to her. "Just give them time and they will get used to this place." He said smiling to Eris
"I suppose..." Eris said, chewing her lip a little in thought. She wasn't really sure what to think; she didn't mind be called weird, but was a little miffed some of the ponies didn't seem to know her name. Still, even if some of the ponies seemed uncertain about her or her realm, none of them seemed to have decided to leave, and she thought that must be a good thing.
Thunder smiled and lead Eris into the house. "Come, lets go and see something in the Thunder box." He said smiling.
"Yeah, sounds good~" She said, giving him a hug and a kiss on the head, nuzzling his mane happily as he led her inside. Once they were in the sitting room, she flopped onto the sofa and waited for him to pick out a book.
Thunder nuzzled her back before she let him go. He went to the study for some books and brought them there, then started thinkkng which one to see. He decided for an adventure one. He felt like it.
"Ooh, good choice!" Eris said, as an armoured pony appeared before them, looking up at a mighty castle on a hill.
Eris wrapped her arms around Thunder happily as he snuggled her, and occasionally nuzzled him or gave him a quick kiss. As with all of the books in here study, she knew the plot of this one off by heart, so she could watch the armoured pony vanquish his foes with one eye, whilst toying with her own lovely knight.
Thunder was trying to oay attention, butbhe found it hard thanks to Eris. He nuzzled her and kissed her back when she did it, snuggling her more and more.
Eris tried to be mindful of the fact that Thunder hadn't read this book before, and tried not to distract him too much, but she just didn't seem to be able to help herself... "I'm sorry sweetie~" She said after a while, and tried lying on her paw and claw, to make sure she kept them to herself.
Thunder noticed what she did and then shook his head. He grabbed her claw and paw and out them around him as he snuggled her even more. "It is not the samw if you dont hug me." He said
Eris smiled happily and kissed his forehead, hugging him tight once more. "Owkay~" She was glad to hear him say that.
Thunder smiled and hugged her back, gently nuzzling her chest before turning back to the box. He smiled and gently grabbed her paw, putting it against his chest as he cuddled it a little
Eris giggled a little at him cuddling her paw like that and wiggled it about a bit against his chest.
Thunder giggled at the wiggling and gently nuzzled her paw as she did that, before turning back to the box. After a few hours, it ended
Eris yawned and stretched a bit, smiling as Thunder kept her paw captive in her hooves. She ruffled his mane with her claw and looked at him. "Shall we get some dinner?" She suggested, noticing it was already dark outside.
Thunder smiled to her and nodded. "Sure. Lets go." he said smiling. "What do you want to eat?" he asked her as he got off her.
