Eris didn't want him to go, but she knew he had to. She nodded silently, as tears filled her eyes again, partly due to the pain, and partly at the thought of being alone.
He nuzzled her and laid her head on his chest. For now, he was her eyes, and wanted tobmake that time as lovely as possible for her to calm down
Eris trembled and tossed about, trying to get comfortable, but not able to. "Thunder..." She winced, "Do you know any pain relief spells?"
"I'll see what I can do." He said. He was able to use his magic, but limited. His horn glowed and made a pain relief spell on her.
Eris sighed as the magic did just enough to let her fall asleep. "Thank you, Thunder~" She managed to say, just before slipping into a fitful sleep.
Thunder stroked her mane and kissed her nose happily as she fell aaleep. He also laid down to sleep for a while so he could get better
Eris had terrible nightmares of being attacked while she and Thunder snuggled, and she woke screaming, then whimpered in confusion, forgetting for a moment what had happened, and why she was blind.
Thunder noticed she woke up and also woke up, feeling much better now. "Eris." He said worried as he hugged her and stroked her mane, "Is alright love. I'm here." He said as he nuzzled her mane a bit.
"Wha-what..." Eris stammered, confused. After a few minutes, she remembered what had happened. It didn't make her feel any better. She hugged Thunder and wept. "Thunder... I'm so scared..."
Eris suddenly fell from his grasp, and writhed on the the bed, screaming in pain. Thunder's spell had worn off, and the poison was progressing. Clearly they would have to find some way to deal with this...
Thunder hugged her after that happened and his horn glowed to make a stronger spell. He took a jar of watter and made a spell on it. "There is a jar beside the bed with special water. When you feel weak drink from it. Tell Courage if you need help."
Eris calmed down a bit, able to focus again once he cast the stronger spell, and nodded. Even just after having slept, she looked tired. She curled up on the bed by herself, staring blindly at the wall.
Thunder sighed. "I will go and get ready. I'll be back in a short while." Thunder said as he kissed her cheek, then went to look for Lone and Courage. He needed to speak with the, first
Eris nodded sadly, pulling the sheets over herself. The two timberwolves had returned to the house by the time Thunder came downstairs, and were just walking in through the door from the balcony.
"There you are. Is everything ready?" He asked them, then turned to courage. "I need you to do something. I left a magic jar of water next to the bed. When Eris is in pain, give some to her." He explained to him, hoping he understood what to do.
Courage looked at him for a minute, then nodded. "I will make her as comfortable as I can, though I wish she had chosen me to track down that zebra. I would invent all new levels of pain, just for her." His face was twisted with rage as he said that, but it softened again when he thought of his Mistress. He hung his head a little, and padded quietly upstairs, licking Eris' paw a little and explaining the plan, then curling up on the bed with her. Lone just waited until Courage had left, then sighed. "Our Mistress is wise; had she sent Courage after the zebra, she would not have lived long enough to provide the cure." He shook his head sadly at the whole situation. "The town is evacuated. The ponies were confused and worried, but their new mayor is doing a good job of calming them, and so far none have left the group. Unless there was anything else, we should go; time is of the essence."
Tbunder sighed and turned to Lone. "Alright. Give me a moment." He said. He moved around the house to gtab the things he needed: his saddlebag, food, his bag of bits and the armor Eris made for him. Once ready he went to the room and sat beside Eris. "I must go love." He said as he laid doen.with her and put his nose against hers, grabbig her paw with his hoof.
Eris nodded, rubbing her nose against his. "Please, return soon?" She pleaded, weakly. "If you can't find a cure... I don't want to die alone."
"I will my love..." thunder replied smiling as he kissed her nose. "But the cure exists, and the zebra has it. I saw it." He said calmly. That vial she drank off... it must be it!
