She sat down on the grass tentatively, looking up at the sky. "It's amazing." * * * "I'm not worried," he replied, hands on his hips. "Do I look worried?"
He sat down as well. "It is." *** She grinned, rolling her eyes playfully. "No, you don't. Maybe I'm just projecting."
She leaned back against her hands, looking down in surprise. "Huh. The ground is wet." * * * "Motherhood will do that to you, I hear," he said, clicking his tongue. The mice returned to him reluctantly, sitting by his feet.
She laughed, leaning against him. “Fresh...?” *** Victor smirked, his eyes flickering up to her. “He wanted to, or you wanted to?”
"Fresh air," he said. "It's not dusty." *** She raised an eyebrow at him. "Well I wanted to as well," she said bluntly, "but he would be able to see his siblings again."
She rested her head on his shoulder as she often did, tilting her head back to look at the stars. “Yeah. Not dusty.” *** He laughed, shaking his head. “You don’t have to make excuses to come see me, Nascha,” he said, his hands on his hips. “You can admit your own infatuation.”
He was quiet for bit. "We shouldn't stay out long.." *** "Okay, firstly, I told you straight up that i wanted to see you. No excuses. Secondly, I don't have an infatuation."
She shifted at his side, looking up at him tiredly. “Just for a while...” *** Oh? You have a crush, then. Why else would you want to see me?”
He looked down at her. "Don't fall asleep.." *** She squinted before sighing, leaning back and crossing her arms. "Yes, that's it. Clearly."
She gave him a slow smile. Everything Dahlia did was so quick, but her smile was slow, as if she was surprised. “Me? Never.” *** He tilted his head, a boyish smirk crossing his lips. “I knew it. Mice boys get all the girls.”
"I can tell you're tired," he said lowly. "Just making sure." *** She huffed playfully. "Well, I did want to see you. I brought Caly along to see his siblings. I should probably head back, though."
She was quiet for a moment before speaking. “You’re always looking out for me...” *** “Hm. Alright then,” he said smoothly. “This was a strange, but welcome diversion.”
He frowned slightly. "I don't want us to get in trouble with our tribes.." *** She picked up Caly and headed for the door, giving him a playful finger gun and wink. "I'll see you."
“Yeah, well...” she began with a small, sad laugh. “We’re already in trouble, Cy. How much longer do you think we can keep this up?” *** He rolled his eyes with a small laugh. “Seriously?”
He sighed, shaking his head. "I don't know.." *** She laughed as well, the sound bright and warm, before heading off.
She fell silent again, moving closer to him quietly. *** He watched her leave with a small smile before heading out as well.
