He grinned, taking it. "So things are better?" *** She shrugged playfully. "Well I just figured, but since you don't want to be friends, I guess I understand."
She considered the question, letting go of his hand once he stood up. "Yes," she said decisively, nodding to herself. "They were rough the first couple of days, but... I made some friends. The Rogues found me." * * * He nodded, a smirk playing on his lips. "Right. Thank you."
"All the stories we've heard, Cy... they're all wrong. They're good people. A little scary, maybe. But good." * * * He put his hands in his pockets, eyeing her thoughtfully.
He looked around. "..Really?" *** She wasn't looking at him, reaching down to pet Caly. "However, you can admit the friendship whenever you want.:
"Really," she said, nodding. "One of them saved me, Cy. He saved my life." * * * "So you do believe there's a friendship here."
(Discord?) He looked surprised. "Really? What happened?" *** "I'm just saying. You can admit it whenever."
"Well, I left at night time," she said, shrugging. "And I didn't have a place to go, so I was sleeping under some leaves. But on the third night, there was a snake! Have you ever seen a snake, Cy?" * * * "You can ask for a closer relationship, Nas."
He frowned, scratching his chin. "Not a real one." *** She looked up at him. "I have to ask if we can friends?"
"It was terrifying. And it came up to me and I tried to run, but it lunged at me. But then! My friend beat it up!" * * * "No. It's called mutual communication."
He rubbed his arm, frowning slightly. "Sounds like an adventure." *** She slowly grinned. "Are we friends?"
"It was," she agreed, looking over at him. She frowned, noticing his expression. "What?" * * * "Hm. Maybe, Hook. Just maybe."
He shook his head. "Snakes. I'm just worried. Who is your friend?" *** She huffed. "That's not definite at all."
Her smile returned and she looked over her shoulder for a moment. "His name is Victor." * * * "What more do you want from me?"
"You can meet him," she said excitedly. "He's just as interested in the House as we are in them." * * * He stopped and turned to her, his eyes catlike but soft. "Nascha," he said, his voice a low musing. He kept eye contact, his gaze never straying from hers. "We're friends."
He nodded slowly. "Yeah. Sounds fun." *** She laughed, flushing slightly, but seemed satisfied. "Perfect."
She grinned before whistling a quick, staccato tune. Victor seemed to laugh a little at her blushing, and opened his mouth to respond when a whistle echoed through the forest. He frowned, looking over his shoulder. "Here. Follow me, will you?"
