She nodded slowly. "Fair enough. Let's finish this fence." *** "What's that supposed to mean? I think you are."
He nodded, moving down the line and saying nothing more. * * * "You need to love someone. Really love someone. Do you know what it's like to be in love?" She flopped down next to him, looking up at the ceiling. "It's like... you think about them all the time, even when you haven't seen them in a while. And when you see them, everything gets a little lighter. You want to have someone where seeing them is the best part of your day. When bad things happen, you want to be comforted by them, and when good things happen, you want to celebrate with them. You should want something like that. You should want to have that."
She did the same, binding the rope and wood. *** He looked over at her thoughtfully, not saying anything for a moment. "How do you know?"
(Where to?) * ** She laughed slightly, turning to look at him. "I don't know for sure. But I know that something like that is something you deserve, and I'm not the one you can feel that about."
(!!!) Nascha had returned home after that day. He wouldn't have seen her for awhile after that; maybe two weeks. Finally she knocked on his door one early afternoon. *** He looked back up at the ceiling in thought. "..Hm."
He opened the door, looking surprised to see her. “Nas...?” **** She looked over at him before scooting over, resting her head on his shoulder.
"Yes!" she said, before taking a moment to regain her composure. "I've been gone because I've been busy. I moved out. I'm not with most of tribe anymore. I'm on the outskirts, close to outside now and on my own." *** He looked down in surprise. "I'm not mad."
"Well, I don't really like it there. I like it outside and I like being independent." She tilted her head slightly. "Also, you can visit me now." *** "I'm not upset. I'm just thinking."
He considered this for a moment before stepping out, closing the door behind him. “Can I see?” *** “What about what I said?”
He stuck his hands in his pockets, following her. *** “Do you have someone in mind?” she asked playfully.
