"Probably the fact that they kicked me out. I'd rather have somewhere that I know is okay to stay at." *** "Hm. Alright. Not even Victor?"
"Jesus. I'm so glad I don't live in the House." * * * She sat up suddenly, looking down at him with a raised eyebrow. "You're jealous!"
She laughed slightly. "Yeah.. But now I have a bit more freedom." *** He looked up at her in surprise. "You said you loved him earlier. He's our age, has helped you out before, and is also a rogue."
"Well, it's exciting. How far away is your place?" * * * "I also said I was kidding," she countered, listing the reasons off on her fingers. "He's our age, but so are a lot of people. He helped me out, but so have you, and more often. And what does being a rogue have to do with anything?" She pointed at him, tilting her head. "You're jealous!"
"From where? The tribe?" *** "I told you I didn't want to be left behind. That's why I'm asking about him."
He looked confused. "From... here?" * * * She frowned, looking down at him. "Do you really think so little of me to think that I can't balance my relationships?"
She raised her eyebrows at him. "Not far at all." *** "No," he said quickly, "but would you stop accusing me of being jealous?" (Discord?)
"What day did you move out?" * * * "You are jealous, though," she said with a frown, crossing her arms. "That's the only explanation that makes sense here. Either that or you think that I'm really bad at maintaining friendships."
"So you're all moved in now?" * * * "I know," she said, sounding a little irritated. "So why are you?"
She nodded. "Pretty much. There are still some finishing touches." *** He frowned, sitting up. "I can't help it!"
"Hm. How does Caly like it?" * * * "Sure, you can. It's not like you have a crush on me or anything."
"How is he doing? Is the training going well?" * * * She pursed her lips, looking irritated. "Why don't you want me to know other people?"
She nodded. "He's doing really well. I've been teaching him the safe areas of the forest. Like how you said." *** "I don't care if you know other people," he said, standing up. "I don't like that you're accusing me of things."
"They're pretty sweet at that age," he mused. "Really eager to learn." * * * She seemed angry now, raising one eyebrow. "Yeah? Well, you get grumpy if I even mention my other friends, Osiris, so forgive me for thinking that something might be up."
She nodded in agreement. "Yeah." They approached the house. She walked along the outer wall before finding the entrance; a small hole. It didn't lead right into her house, but rather to the entrance. She opened the door, which was a dark red. She opened it, revealing a nice, open house. It was airy and fresh, light filtering in from makeshift "windows" on one of the walls. In one corner was a bed and desk covered with tools and metal. On the other side of the house was a kitchen area. It was rather nice. There was a soft looking bed by the desk just for Caly. *** "I don't get grumpy. Victor is just the first rogue I've met. Forgive me being suspicious."
His face brightened as he looked around, craning his head back. "I'm impressed, Nas!" * * * She crossed her arms and looked away, not saying anything else.
She grinned at him. "Really? You are?" *** He watched her before sighing, heading for the door. "..I should go back home."
“Very. Who woulda thought that you’d be such a good worker?” *** She didn’t respond, turning to look out the window, her shoulders slumped.
