“Hey. Are you feeling okay?” *** She watched him before resting her head against his forehead. “I’m sorry.”
“I just came to drop off breakfast for you.” *** She watched him before kissing the tip of his nose gently.
He looked over his shoulder. “I wasn’t planning to. I feel like I’ve intruded quite a bit lately.” *** She frowned at his response, tilting her head. “I’m just glad you’re here.”
She looked up at him. "Of course. But you don't have to." *** "You don't have to apologize. I wasn't expecting it."
"I'm surprised. Well... here." He offered her the bag. "Eat the breakfast. I gotta run some errands and I'll be back in a bit." * * * "No, it was too much. Let's just... sleep."
She took it, her head tilting. "Okay. I'll be here." *** He nodded, scooting close again and closing his eyes.
He nodded, turning and leaving without another word. * * * He would hear her shuffle for a moment before she spoke quietly. "...Cy?"
The bag was heavy with food. When she opened it, she would see a small bundle of flowers. * * * She was quiet before looking at him. "Can you hug me?"
She seemed surprised, taking them out carefully and inspecting them. After a moment, she went to put them in a vase. *** He reached out, hugging her with his eyes still closed.
The flowers were tiny baby's breath, little flowers that matched the aura of the room. * * * She shifted comfortably, her hands over his. "Thank you. 'Love you."
She smiled slightly as she set them in the window, resting her hands on her hips. *** He murmured something, already half asleep.
