She added water and a bit of olive oil to the pot, before looking over at him. "We need to chop vegetables, then we'll put them in once were done and wait for them to heat." *** "You'd be able to get them yourself without me," he teased.
He squinted before pulling out the vegetables and beginning to chop quickly and efficiently. * * * "That's true," she mused. "But I'd miss you."
He glanced over at her. "I bet I'm faster than you." * * * She gave him a goofy grin before closing the door to change.
He laughed lowly, shaking his head. "Coward." * ** She came back out, her hair wet and the clothing on, coming over to the bed.
"I'm right, though," he said primly. "It's fine. I get it." * * * "Good shower," she agreed, laying on her stomach. "I should probably clean up a little."
He raised an eyebrow. "Like I say. Coward." * ** She sat up too, rubbing his back quickly. "No, don't worry. I'll do it."
"And I don't want your finger bits," she said stubbornly. *** He looked back at her. "But I can help."
"I would never be that clumsy." * ** "Well... let's make the bed. I want to try to do some gardening today."
"Well, I'm a little clumsy. Do you want me to chop my fingers off or something?" *** He nodded, standing up and taking one side of the blankets.
"Don't worry. I beat you anyway," he said smoothly, scraping the vegetables into the pan. * * * She took the other side and they spread it across the bed, laying the sheets down gently.
She huffed with a small smile, finishing up hers. "Hm." *** He fixed the pillows. "What are you going to plant?"
He returned to the pot, looking at her expectantly. "Now what, Captain?" * * * "Berries," she said cheerfully. "Berry plants."
She put her vegetables in, as well as some herbs, and put the lid over. "Now we wait." *** He nodded approvingly. "Good choice."
"For how long?" he asked, frowning?" * ** "I already have the seeds," she said, standing up. "I'm going to go get started."
"What a wait. Okay." * * * She gave him a grin, going over to the door and putting on her oversized hat. "Great."
