He pulled her close, frowning slightly. "I'll be alright. Trust me." *** Her gaze met his. "If you go out, then I want to come with."
She looked up at him before pulling back slightly, taking his hands. “Siris, do you think I am valuable?” *** He frowned, shaking his head. “Absolutely not.”
She was watching him intensely. “So the things I love are important, yes?” *** “I’m not that hurt. They need me, Nas.”
"All I'm saying," she amended, "is that you need to be careful." * * * He noticed before kissing her nose. "We'll see how it is tomorrow, okay?"
She frowned at him disapprovingly. "Really. You're not used to this kind of work." * * * He gave her a small smile. "Sleep."
She huffed, looking concerned still. "Lie down. I'll get you some soup. * * * He tentatively slipped his arms around her waist.
She brought him back some soup in a bowl, offering them to him. * * * Victor was asleep next to her, his arms around her waist.
He took it, looking up at her warmly. "Thank you." *** She looked down, brushing his hair back and kissing his temple before getting up.
She nodded, sitting next to him cross-legged, still looking worried. * ** He shifted sleepily, blinking as he looked up at her. "...Nas...?"
She sighed, nodding her head slowly. "I know." * * * He relaxed upon seeing her. "Hi. What are you doing?"
She didn't smile back at first, that worried expression still monopolizing her face. She saw he was trying, though, and gave him a small one to appease him. "Finish your soup, okay?" * * * "Sore, but okay," he said, moving to sit up. However, a low groan escaped him and he flopped back down, looking up at the ceiling. "Just give me a second."
