"And delicious. I am an excellent cook," she said, looking over at him. * * * "It's... it's great. But it's a lot."
He nodded in agreement. "I concur." *** She hesitated, as if unsure. ".. I don't want to he overwhelming to you."
She smirked, ruffling his hair. "I love you." * * * He laughed, kissing the tip of her nose. "You will always be overwhelming to me. It's a good thing."
“I had some,” she retorted, crossing her arms. “Come on; I really want to go look.” *** He rolled his eyes, ruffling her hair. “I’m definitely desirable; all I do is lie around and complain.”
He sighed, picking up his plate and going to put it in the sink. *** She tilted her head at him. "That's not true."
She stood up and went over to the dresser, pulling out a new shirt. *** “It’s literally what I’m doing right now.”
She made sure he wasn’t looking before switching shorts quickly, pulling the clean one over her head. *** “In spirit, I am.”
She came over to him after she was finished, looking thoughtful. “Why are you frowning?” *** “That’s pretty rude,” he teased.
She frowned, pulling her hair back. "About the house?" * * * "Wow. Pulling out all the stops of rudeness. Okay."
She sighed, watching him and looking a little melancholy. "Have faith." * * * "Oh. Thank you for the warning."
She watched him and her shoulders slumped a little bit. She was quiet as she put on her shoes. * * * "What are you going to say?"
