"Well then, your in luck, I brought the best soldiers the Brotherhood has, a squad of Magnitium Legotiums. Do you know where he is?"
"The signal tracked him to an air lock just next to us," Fire said, checking ammo and reloading, "I was making my way there when I was ambushed."
Midnight nodded, "We'll them hold here, you get the civi out. We have our own job to do."The ship suddenly shook as a second pod slammed into the ship, quickly followed by two more. "Looks like they'll have more than us to worry about, now go!"
"Here!" Fire said, handing Midnight the explosives, "Planet these around. Once we get the bloody hell outta here, we'll blow this thing to hell!" He then ran out of his cover and began to make his way to the pony in distress, shooting any human that got in his way.
The assault boats slammed into the capital ships hull near where the transmission had come from, or at least the partial one Rashall got after exiting the stars upper area. The assault boats cutters cut a large breach in the ships hull allowing the marines in side to enter. Fighting could be heard down the corridor and Rashall simply nodded and took off in the direction of the fighting.
The humans recovered quickly from the shock of the pod slamming into the area near them, but they were thinner this time as more had to be drawn off to fight the other pods (And Rashall's assualt boats, but Midnight didn't know that yet.) The ship shook again from the force of another series of three pods slamming into it, bringing the total to fifteen, which meant almost 750 elite Brotherhood troops were now aboard across the ship. Midnight dived out from his cover, fired a few shots at any human he saw, before diving back before the return volley hit him. Sure his armor could hold up to it, but direct fighting wasn't his style. The Magnitium Legotiums were doing the same, slowly advancing forward and killing their oppistion with minimal losses. Midnight plucked a grenade from his pouch, pulled the pin, and tossed it towards the human. Almost instantly after it exploded, Midnight lead the troops in a charge, clearing the humans from the corridor. They had advanced nearly 500 feet into the ship, but their goal was the reactor, the ship's power source, blowing that with Firebreeze's explosives would most certainly cause most of the ship to be lost in a massive explosion that would probably cut the ship into two.
Firebreeze soon approached the location of the distress signal. He had a feeling he had limited time to find a door, so he just blew up a portion of the wall. He cautiously walked in.
Rashall was behind the wall of Marines with boarding shields that took up nearly all of the corridor. The humans either fled before the wall or died where they stood from the weapons the wolves in the marine armor were using. Behind him was the rest of the assault squad which mainly consisted of terminator marines and a few eldar units as well. "Brotherhood troops to our front," said the sergeant in front of Rashall. "Group it up with them, Emerald Star take your squad and the banshee's to where the hostage is we'll keep the enemy occupied," says Rashall, the striking scorpions and howling banshee's break off and head to where the distress signal had been located while Rashall and the main force went to meet up with the Brotherhood troops.
Midnight say some of Rashall's men heading their directions, and he stepped out to meet them, "Greetings, we have the situation under control behind us, Flames of Trails leader Firebreeze is currently dealing with the stranded Brotherhood citizen." he told them very formally.
More explosions. Sojourner Ducked as shards of metal went flying from the wall to his left. Voices. There were voices. He quickly moved away from the hole, leveling his breach cutter at the ready, his one good eye wide, his body swiveling left to right fitfully as he looked through the haze left by the explosives for movement.
"Greetings to you as well me and my unit will establish an area here, just because it's secure now doesn't mean the enemy will try to retake it," says Rashall nodding to his warriors already moving debris into barricades.
"Oh trust me, we have it under control, but only an idiot would refuse reinforcements. Besides, we are making our way to the reactor, if the other squads haven't secured the bridge by the time we take the reactor, we are blowing this place to hell. You could hold this area for us I guess." Midnight replied, the now 49 Magnitium Legotiums gathered around.
Fire walked into the hole, "Anypony in here?" He said looking around, then he found who he was looking for. Fire went to his comms, "I've found the civi. I need a couple men to get him off this ship!"
"Sending a couple troops your way." Midnight said into his radio to Firebreeze, he then turned to his men, "You two, go to Firebreeze, everypony else, with me!" and he turned to go further into the ship with his remaining men.
Soon the brotherhood troops arrive, "Get this Stallion off this flying piece of metal!" Fire says as he runs out to join the fight once more.
"Alright, from here, it appears this tunnel leads straight to the power room, which is where the reactor should be." Midnight said, looking at a directory of the ship. It was kinda obvious of the reason why of having such a thing on this huge ship, it was possible for its residents to get lost and they probably thought the possibility of being boarded was less risky than the risk of having lost soldiers. The group followed the tunnel down, where they surprisingly ran into no resistance, you would think this area would be crawling with humans, but it wasn't. "Must be because of the others." Midnight muttered. They galloped down the tunnel, reaching a sealed door, "Where's the breach charges?!" Midnight asked to the group. A soldier stepped forward and levitated out several breach charges and placed them around the doors edges. After taking cover, they blew the charges, which caused the door to fall over from losing its connections to the wall. The M.L.'s swarmed into the reactor room, and found a massive, strange machine before them. "Alright, I will contact the other units, prepare to plant the charges!" Midnight ordered, and then the group spread out to secure the area. "Alpha Beta squad, come in, report your progress." Midnight said into his mic. "We've encountered heavy resistance upon exiting the pod, but we've cleared the surrounding area, making our way to the Bridge now sir, but still running into resistance sir. ETA is 20 minutes." Midnight sighed, "Be ready to evac, at reactor core now." Then he went down the list of his squads, until he reached almost the bottom. "Report." he said, not very hopeful, most of his squads had managed to secure their seperate LZ's, but were crawling on their way to the bridge. "Sir, our pod hit directly on the bridge, bridge has been secured, command of the ship is now in our hands." The troops in the reactor cheered at that, "Good! Good! Now set the defense systems to target humans!". "Yes sir!" there was a small pause as the squad engineer hacked the human terminal, "Done! All security now friendly, opening link to the fleets." Good, good, Midnight thought, "Oh, and open a line to Brotherhood Tower, get OPIAT in command of this ship, he's the only one who can." "Yes sir!" Midnight smiled, "Alright, we shall hold our position here, if it even looks vaguely like the humans are going to retake the bridge and regain control of the ship, we blow it." Midnight ordered. "Yes sir!"
Firebreeze was making his way to the power room, when he was grabbed by a metal hand and thrown into the wall. "Who the hay-!" He yelled out, and out from the shadows approached the ship's captain with his red eyed mask, a large metal had, and a assault rifle. "It's a shame that you must die like this," The human captain said, "But i'm not going out with out one of you pony captains coming with me." Fire chuckled, "If you think you're gonna take me out, you've got another thing coming!" He charged at the human, tackling him to the wall, but Fire was soon thrown back to the wall. The human laughed and walked up to finish off Breeze to be greeted by a knife to the stomach. "Don't feel bad," Fire said with a mocking tone, "You were doomed to die anyway." Fire then sent a melta-round to the human's head and walked away smiling.
Midnight's head snapped to the sound of the intercom crackling to life in the room, "Hello Humans!" a familiar friendly voice said, "I am OPIAT, the great A.I. created by you and now helping the ponies you seek to destroy. I am now in control of this ship, now let's face the facts, your ship is disabled, your enemy is in control of the bridge and the reactor room allowing them full control over this ship's destiny. Here's the deal, you surrender, you live out your days on the first planet under total sercurity, or you can die, killed either by the ponies who now roam your ship and being butchered by your own sercurity system, or being blown to bits. Your choice." the intercom then paused for a bit, "Oh, and your captain's dead." before turning off.
"Awesome..." Fire said as he heard the message from OPIAT. He went to his comms, "Firebreeze to the Victor, we've won boys. The enemy ship has been taken!"
The humans who had surrendered where corralled into the remaining hanger bay on the bottom deck. Those that were killed were uncermoniously loaded into an empty pod and fired straight into the sun. The prisoners were dropped off on the first planet with an inter-faction guard force. Now lay the desicion on what to do to the human ship. "I say we scrap it." Midnight said into the Holocomm.
