Fernleaf listened to the whole conversation intently. Thinking for a moment, she added to the conversation "it might not be the weapons your using, sir. Perhaps its the location you hit them. Everything, whether machine or pony, has a weak point. Perhaps they have some sort of chink in their armor, or a spot that covers their power supply." She thought a moment more. "If this is the case, using explosive rounds will probably, if anything, make it harder to kill the things when you see them. Slow them down, yes, but destroy them? Probably not"
"On the topic of orbital defense, do these things always come in those pods or are they launched from a ship? In the case of the latter, I might have a solution, but we'll need a substantial amount of raw materials."
"Just a second, Captain. You" Cobalt points his hoof at Jhera "I would like you to be present during the autopsy." "Now than, what kind of resources are you needing?"
"You lot with your resources, my bone singers can get the job done in less time and without destroying such a lush and beautiful world," says Rashall.
As felix is speaking into the mic he says *i think i have a good plan. I'll send out my recruits out there when they start attacking we move behind them to attack they wont see it coming!*
Jhera was taken aback by the sudden order. "Sir." He said. "Not to be rude or anything, but what help would I be at an autopsy? I don't even have a doctorates degree!" He thought a moment, then came to a surprising conclusion. "If you want me to find weak points, I probably can't help you, but Fernleaf and I shall come along to see what kind of assistance we can give." (I just finished reading Cupcakes before I came back to this. For future refrence, if you haven't already, don't read it. The loss of sanity is not worth it.)
"Metal. And I mean a lot. Enough to build a small cruiser. In addition, we will need ground-based generators to supply power."
Jhera nodded. "We managed to obtain enough for only 5 droughts, you'll have to use them only if they are really needed. They're not very expendable."
"We can set up small mines and foundries but it will take time for that amount of metal.. We dont want to damage this planet." Cobalt nods "Good. Keep them stored safe, however bring one to our chemists. We will try to synthetically replicate it"
"I know. I've sent some scouts to the other planets in the system in search of large deposits. In the meantime, my ships carry the same technology, although on a much smaller scale. Assuming these bugs use large ships for long-distance travel, they ought to discourage them from launching a full scale assault."
"We mustn't let any unidentified meteor or craft pass us. We make contact, warn them, then if there is no response we fire upon them. That is the only way for us to guarantee safety from invasion.
"I'm going to try and build more 'Little Brother' fighters, but they're going to need better armor and shields, my ships never go down so quickly." He thought for a second, "I'm also going to get some of my science guys to study those things' bio-lasers, see what makes them tick and what-not."
Felix and hes army flys to firebreeze's ship then felix talks into the mic *Hello will you like some battlemechs they can take out huge meteors and they can turn into a jet and they weld a plasma rifle Will you like some?*
"For ground defense, my engineers will duplicate and adapt the CMC Duel-Barreled Belly Cannons onboard the Soft Rains. It is best that we build them atop this mountain range here, its the optimal vantage point to cover us all." Cobalt points out a moutain range on the holographic globe
As felix flys off to water lily. Him and all of hes workers are working on hes ship so it can turn into a huge mech. It will be able to destroy huge ships and tiny planets. It will also have a huge katana but it's very risky to transform. it will kill passengers and destroy a lot of homes. Thats why he needs to make a safe houses for them
A nearby holo popped on and a battle-scarred pony appeared in the picture. "Hello? Is anyone getting this? Oh! Magnificent! This is Colonel Fiss, and I have a bunch of soldiers down here who are injured. If you are willing to spare them, could you please send down any medical personnel you might have? It could save many lives." He wiped his brow. He was clearly stressed. "I'm not sure how many could make it even with the supplies, but we have to try! Is anyone available to come down?"
