Narrowleaf gave a hiss and flinched. "D-Don't touch me!!" He screamed, putting a hoof to his burn. "It's h-h-hurts..."
"I don't. By the time I was vampirized I couldn't feel it anyway... took me a week to realize it was bad for me." He suddenly walked around a corner and vanished down a side hallway. "Whoa. When did we get a college dorm hallway? Wait, no. This is the bedroom hallway." (like I said, disconnected from reality)
"Hey, Let him back outside so he can stop WHINING!"Silent yelled slamming his face into the table and covering his ears with two cups to block Narrows Whining and he looked at a barrel and though *BARRELS I hate those thing, to lazy.*
Rosy walked over to Narrowleaf and begin to apply the salve to his burns, ignoring his protests. "I remember my first sunning. It was right after I was turned. I was terrified, and tried to run home. My father realized what I was and forced me out into daylight." She laughed. "He was my very first kill."
A mare next to Silent elbowed him. "Hey. Hey's a newbie. Calm down." She said. Narrowleaf moaned. "Oh. ...I-I... I am kinda thirsty... Now th-that I think about it..." He murmured.
"Of course you are thirsty. You nearly killed yourself, running outside like that. That salve should help with the pain, but you need blood to heal yourself properly." Rosy grabbed a dazed looking mare and led her to Narrowleaf. "Feed. You must, if you wish to survive."
Narrowleaf hesitated to sink his fangs into the mare's neck. After a moment he pulled away and dropped onto the ground. "It... It's d-delicious..."
"Of course it is. Blood is life, and I suspect that you wish to continue living." Rosy carefully led the nearly drained mare back to a small holding area. "I am impressed that a fledgling such as yourself was able to show enough restraint to stop feeding. That is a very good thing." She gestured towards the dozens of heavily drugged ponies being kept in pens nearby. "It is far safer and more efficient to keep the livestock alive and nearby than it is to risk hunting trips into the cities."
Narrowleaf whimpered. "Livestock as in... p-p-ponies?!" He gasped. "That's barbaric! How could you do that to those poor ponies?!"
"Suffering?! Just because they can't express it doesn't mean they can't feel it!" He responded. "It's... Evil! It's barbaric! It's cruel! This whole operation is just horrible!" Narrowleaf backed away, reaching for the front door.
Rosy sighed again. "Honestly... some ponies never learn. If you open that door and go out into the sun, you will die. If you remain here, and continue to insult your betters, you will also die. I suggest that you keep the whining to a minimum, and greet your new family." She held out a hoof. "I am Rose Thorn. You may call me Rosy. Now... what is your name?"
"N-Narrowleaf. ...And I d-d-don't want to live like this. It w-wasn't my choice!" He said. "...Wh-Where am I anyways?"
Rosy looked at Narrowleaf with something approaching pity. "Few of us had any choice in the matter. I wanted to be a doctor when I grew up. Look at me now. I will be a filly for the rest of eternity." She shrugged. "The only comfort that I can offer you is that you will have a VERY long time to make peace with your new life. Welcome, young Narrowleaf, to the House of the Crimson Fang!"
"You can still be a doctor. You are old enough, aren't you? Just because we're monsters doesn't mean we're animals." Narrowleaf replied. "And I'm not young. I'm twenty."
Rosy laughed. "Twenty? I am two-hundred years old! There are some among us older still. Vampirism tends to keep one remarkably... fresh."
"Fresh? What do you mean by "fresh"? Y-You're not gonna attack me, are you?!" Narrowleaf asked, startled. He took a step back and trembled. "I-I don't taste good! I taste awful!"
Rosy nearly fell down laughing. "By Haydes, you are easily the most nervous pony that I have ever met! Why would I attack you? Vampires cannot feed off of one another!"
