"Oh... So you'd never be able to grow old, have a family, and stuff like that? ...I guess I can't either..." Narrowleaf replied. "Heart's Desire... As in what your heart wants or as in some sort of plant?"
"Heart's Desire is a flower that used to grow around here. It has become quite rare in recent years." Rosy looked back at Narrowleaf. He seemed to be in pain. "We are almost home. How are you feeling?"
"It h-hurts... But I th-think I'll live." Narrowleaf wheezed. "...I might have to lie down... I feel kinda woozy."
"The House is just over the next hill. Try to hold on for just a few more minutes." Rosy was worried, but she knew that a few pints of fresh blood would do Narrowleaf more good than any balm or bandage that she could provide. "You will feel much better after feeding."
Narrowleaf weakly shook his head. "I c-couldn't stand to see the sight of b-blood right now..." He murmured. "I'm sorry, Silv-" He stopped himself. "No. Sh-She's gone... Forever."
Rosy looked at Narrowleaf with concern. He was clearly suffering from something that went beyond his reluctance to accept his new life. "Is there is something troubling you, young one? You can trust me. We are family now, after all."
"T-Two years ago, my fiance, Silver Bell was murdered by members of the House... I've been traumatized ever since. I j-just w-w-watched... I couldn't. It's all my f-f-fault." He mumbled, between heavy sobs. "I'm s-so pathetic..."
"I remember the incident with Miss Bell. I do not know why the Elder felt that such an act was necessary." Rosy was uncomfortable. She had not taken part in the attack, but she had helped to plan it. She had never expected her past sins to catch up with her. "So, what is it you seek? Answers? Perhaps... revenge?"
"Is that really what you think? That Hunter fell before he knew what hit him. I have never seen a vampire move as fast as you did. With time and training, you could become a match even for Elder Bloodwing..." Rosy stopped herself. Such talk was dangerous. "I am sorry. I should not be saying such things."
"No, k-keep going. Bloodwing isn't here. He's off where-" Count Bloodwing exited the House glanced and Narrowleaf's wound. "My, my. Miss Rosy, you have your cure right in front of you." He interuppted.
"Elder Bloodwing! Oh dear... how long have you been standing... wait... what?" Rosy was terrified that the Elder had overheard her treacherous words, but at the moment, her excitement outweighed her fear. "What do you mean?! There is a cure?! A chance to grow up, to live my life in the sun again?! Please, Elder, what is it?"
"This one's blood." Bloodwing responded, lifting Narrowleaf up using magic. "Too bad he must die tonight. Well, for you two it is. We cannot having a cure going around. Our goal is to take over Equestria."
Rosy gasped. The Elder aimed to kill her new brother, and with him, her only chance at a normal life. She thought quickly. There was no way that she could fight the Elder. He was just too strong. Still, if she moved fast enough... "I will not let you take this from me! Die, Bloodwing!" Propelled by a hope that she had not felt in over a century, Rosy moved faster than she ever had before. In less than a second, she had drawn her stake from beneath her cloak and was flying at Bloodwing, aiming to pierce his black heart once and for all.
Narrowleaf dropped to the ground, as did Count Bloodwing. "He's... dead, R-Rosy... Wh-What are we going to do?!" Nrrowlewf asked, getting off of the cold ground. "W-We gotta run, don't we?"
Rosy watched in disbelief as the most powerful vampire in Equestria slowly turned to dust. "I... I do not know... I had thought perhaps to distract him... to give you a chance to escape... he is... was... the strongest of us all... our leader." With great difficulty, Rosy calmed herself. "We have no cause to run. Bloodwing is dead. Without him, the House is nothing but a pack of murderers and psychopaths. Dangerous, yes, but also aimless. They will not be a problem." She picked up her stake from the pile of dust that had been the Elder and placed it back beneath her cloak. "Let us go inside. It will be dawn soon, and the others must be told of Elder Bloodwing's fate."
Narrowleaf nooded in response. "Yeah. I-I don't want to be burned again." He said, opening the door to the House for Rosy.
"Welcome back!", shade greets with a warms smile upon their return, then shade walked over to the door,"what'd you take him to kill?", she asks rosy
"It was an... interesting... outing, to say the least. Our new brother managed to take down a Hunter, we had a brawl with some gang members, the Elder is dead and a cure for vampirism has been found, and I rescued a couple of dogs." Rosy glanced at Narrowleaf's wounds. The cure would be lost if Narrowleaf died. "I understand your hesitation, young one, but you must feed. There is much more at stake now than just your life."
"Umm… what was the part you said quietly?", shade asked with a chuckle, overlooking narrowleaf, assuming his cuts ere most from the hunter
