"You heard me. The Elder is dead, by my hoof. He sought to destroy the cure. His war on Celestia would have destroyed us all. I did what was necessary." Rosy turned to Narrowleaf. "Do you truly wish to die? I do not wish to kill you." She sighed. Young ponies never thought things through. "Besides, I am not the pony seeking a cure. Our House is only one of many. Give me time. I will find a way to cure you, as well. Until then, you must keep yourself alive. Now FEED! I will not ask you again."
Narrowleaf cringed. "I-I'm s-s-sorry! Please, f-forgive me." He begged, slowly trotting to a barrel filled with blood. He grabbed a goblet from a table next to him and filled it. He hesitated to take a sip fron the goblet. "I'm s-sorry." Narrowleaf mumbled.
Rosy sighed. "No, young one, I am sorry. I should not have shouted at you. I was... worried." She looked sadly at the painting of Elder Bloodwing that hung on the wall. "For all of the Elder's faults, he was family. I do not regret his his death, but I still mourn his loss. I do not wish to lose anypony else tonight."
Narrowleaf hung his head and trotted back to Rosy. "Th-This is all my fault... All of it. I should've ran outs-side..." he murmured.
"Yea kid you should have stayed in the sun and died you shameful excuses of a vampire and you should have been dead when you first entered here."Silent said walking over to Bloodwings painting and said "Such a waste of a good leader."
Rosy glared at Silent. "Oh, DO be quiet, you old fool! I did what needed to be done! The Elder sought open war with the most powerful Alicorn in Equestria! Do you honestly believe that we stood a chance?!" She turned back to Narrowleaf. "You see now why I sought a cure. A few years with this family will drive anypony out of their mind."
(Now what? Keep going? We could do the next bit differently... Like so...) Narrowleaf let out a growl and slammed into Silent, sending him halfway across the room. "You shut up about Rosy!" He cried, pouncing onto Silent.
(Works for me.) (May Rainbow Crasher's first day in Hell last one thousand years, and may it be the shortest.) Rosy separated the two ponies, sighing. "I appreciate your help, young one, but such violence is unnecessary. Silent is just an old fool, unable to let go of the past. I find it best to ignore his insults."
"I'm not gonna let him bully us!" Narrowleaf said, slamming Silent's head down on the cold, stone floor.
"Oh, very well. Just... try not to get blood on the good furniture. It is very difficult to clean velvet." Rosy sighed and walked away. There was no point in arguing with hot-headed stallions.
Silents face shown no fear and he just yawns at Narrowleaf "If you plan on scaring me you've failed" he said then he poked out Narrowleafs eyes and flown away as a bat to a crack in the celling.
Narrowleaf roared in agony. "B-Bastard! Get d-down here and fight my like a real stallion! I want your blood!" He screamed, as two other stallions restrained him.
Rosy whistled an old show tune and began working on a new potion, smiling. She knew that Narrowleaf was too inexperienced to seriously injure Silent, and she was sure that Silent would not risk contact with Narrowleaf's blood, lest it somehow accidently cure him. "If you two are quite done, we have much to discuss."
Narrowleaf calmed, his eyes turning from red to green. "I-I'm so sorry! I lost control! I-I... I'm sorry." He explained, panicking.
Silent flown down from the ceiling and turned back into a pony "Discuss? discuss about what?" he asked
Rosy shook her head in frustration. "What do you think we need to discuss?! The weather?! Elder Bloodwing is dead, and the single greatest discovery in the history of our race lies within our new brother! We need to figure out our next move!"
Narrowleaf hesitated to speak. He set his hoof on the table. "Rosy... Draw as m-much blood as y-y-you need. Just don't me see the n-needle." He said, trembling.
Rosy laughed. "I already did, while I was bandaging you up earlier. Black blood is not a common sight. I wanted to run some tests. I would apologize for my deception, but..." She held up the potion that she had made while Narrowleaf was fighting Silent. "...the end has justified the means. I have finished the cure!"
