"R-Rosy, I think I'm going to wait a d-d-decade or so b-before drinking it." Narrowleaf mumbled, smiling. "You w-wouldn't want to waste your new life in an orphanage, w-would you? I c-could pretend to be your d-d-dad and I'll drink animal blood." (You aren't giving up on this, are you, [MENTION=5399]Ridley Wolf[/MENTION]?)
(Whoops. Forgot about this one.) Rosy wanted to take the cure right away, to leave her old life behind and finally live as a mortal. However, she had not survived two centuries by making rash decisions. "I need to make some arrangements. I have a small fortune stashed away, but I will need more than just bits. Returning to Equestrian society will take time..." She smiled sadly, and locked the bottle in a small metal box. "I suppose I shall remain as I am, for the time being."
A bright light blinded the entire House as several of Celestia's armored guard burst through the door, letting sunlight shine in. "Hooves up, freaks!" One called.
Rosy pulled her cloak down over her face, sighing. "This again? Will they never learn?" She whistled, and the dogs from the alley ran to her side. She spoke calmly to the Royal Guards. "I shall give you one chance, and one chance only. Leave this House, and never return."
The group of guard ponies charged in without hesitation, as did Narrowleaf. "Give me your blood!!" He cackled, pouncing on a stallion's back. The rest of the legion focused on the rest of the House.
Rosy's dogs leapt onto the back of the nearest Guard, pinning him to the floor. A quick thrust of Rosy's stake into the Guard's unprotected eye pierced his brain and killed him instantly. "I gave you a chance to leave," she said sadly.
"Get the cure!" One called, throwing a blessed net at Narrowleaf, who began to convulse as soon as the net touched him. Several guard attempted to tackle him, only to get knocked off, until one hit him over the head with a cross, knocking Narrowleaf out. A few guards managed to drag Narrowleaf outside, net protecting him from the sun. The remaining guards backed away, until they stood at Count Bloodwing's ashes. They stood, stakes ready, blocking any vampire's attempt to follow the other group carrying Narrowleaf. "R-R-Rosy..." Narrowleaf rasped, very weak. "H-Help..."
"Loathesome fiends! How dare you invade my home!" Rosy rushed outside, her dogs close behind. She knew that she had no chance against three Royal Guards, but she had to try. Within moments, she had been captured as well. She ordered the dogs to back off, lest the Guards kill them, and spoke angrily to her captors. "What now? I doubt that you targeted our House at random. What does the Sun Princess seek?"
"We're takin' ya tah Celestia herself. Gonna test on yah friend there. Well, ya too." A mare responded, smiling. Eventually they were taken to a tower where they were chained to two chairs. Celestia eventually trotted in, a fake smile on her face. "So you two are from the Crimson Fang, aren't you?"
"You know exactly who we are, Celestia. Your charade is fooling nopony. I demand that you release us at once! Otherwise..." Rosy grinned wickedly. The chains that held her had been designed to hold an adult stallion. A small filly like herself could slip free easily. "...I shall be forced to kill you myself."
"Oh? But I'm the sun princess. Your worst enemy. And besides... You wouldn't want your wittle coltfwiend to get hurt, would you?" She asked, rubbing a hoof across Narrowleaf's face, burning his face as he screamed in agonizing pain.
"You are disgusting! He is little more than a child! How dare you insinuate..." Rosy stopped herself. Celestia was trying to rattle her, and she needed to remain calm. She was almost free. The Guards were paying no attention to her. She was almost ready to strike. "Oh dear. I seem to have lost my temper."
Celestia leaned in near Narrowleaf face, then delivered a nasty punch. "Pathetic! Now then, we shall begin the expirements. We need the cure, even if it means killing these brats. Hoof out, Narrowleaf." She demanded. Narrowleaf sobbed and held his hoof out for Celestia. "I-I'm sorry, R-Rosy..." he murmured.
Rosy broke free of her chains, and flew at the nearest Guard, pulling his dagger from his belt. Before anypony could react, she leapt onto Celestia's back and pressed the point of the blade against her spine. "If you wanted the cure, you need only have asked. Order your Guards to release my Brother, or you will die here and now."
Celestia spread her wings, knocking Rosy aside. "Oh? But torturing you two would be far more entertaining." She chuckled. "Guards. Sei-" "DON'T YOU TOUCH HER!" Narrowleaf shrieked, bursting from his chains. He slammed into Celestia, then roared in pain. "I-I'll... I'll kill you!"
Rosy flung the dagger at the Guard closest to her, striking him in the forehead. As he fell, lifeless, Rosy shouted to Narrowleaf, "It would appear that diplomacy has failed us! I do not suppose you have a plan to get us out of here?!"
"R-Run, Rosy! That's the only thing we can do!" Narrowleaf cried, as Celestia attempted to swoop down at Rosy, only to be intercepted by Narrowleaf. "I SAID DON'T TOUCH MY ROSY!" he screamed, kicking her aside.
"That sounds like as good a plan as any other!" Rosy breathed a silent prayer to Nightmare Moon and crashed through the window, into the harsh sunlight.
Rosy stepped out from behind a rosebush and flapped her wings. "I should ask the same of you! In my haste to escape, I forgot that you cannot fly." She looked around the empty courtyard. "This is Canterlot! The Elder had said the princesses would be in the Crystal Empire! Celestia must have brought us here because she wishes to keep her activities a secret from the others. Which would mean..." Rosy smiled hopefully. "...that they may be willing to help us!"
