Shade buried her face in her hooves,"it's too confusing!", she said sadly

 

"Its my fault, I never had to teach anypony anything that is not medical magic"

 

"But I'm stupid, there's no way you're gonna be able to teach me..."

 

"Your not stupid!" Timestopper said sternly

 

"Yes I am...", shade said sadly

 

Timestopper walked over to her and hugged her "No you are not"

 

Shade returned the hug, then asked,"how else would I not understand it?"

 

(just coming back to post before I have to go on my B-Day trip to San Antonio)
"I Don't know but you are not stupid"

 

Shade sighed & sat,"whatever, I'm some rogue from another country, who never went to school, & did terrible terrible things...", she sadly said

Timestopper put his hoof on her shoulder "I did my share of bad things and I am not giving up on you."

 

Shade nuzzles him lightly,"thanks, timestopper..."

 

Timestopper smiled

 

"L-let's just continue...", shade says softly, giving timestopper a quick kiss

 

"ok" Timestopper walked to one of the shelves and pulled out a book

 

Shade waited silently

 

"this was a book I used when I learned to read"

 

"What is it?", shade asked

 

"Its just a book of old nursery rhythms"

 

Shade started to blush & hesitantly said,"oh..."
